The spirit of chuck is still with all who love metal and love creating music, that moment when you come up with an epic riff of your own, that moment of pure creativity and love is the spirit of Chuck, which is the same spirit that resides in all of us.
Last year was the first time i ever heard Death, and i heard it at a time when i was suicidal. Their music alone helped me through SO much in my life, and i don't know what it was, but I think it's just that Chuck's vocals were so special. It's almost like you could hear the shear raw emotion that so many other vocalists seem to lack, like he was singing straight to you personally, didn't it? I wish I could tell him all he has done for me, and I'm sure a lot of you feel the same. :(
Symbolic = the best death thrash album ever, without any doubt. I used to listen to it a lot. Thanx for posting this video and give us the opportunity to watch them in a live performance. Cheers from Brasil friends.

Yesterday i took my guitar, and thought "I wanna play Death", took up Crystal Mountain, and im fucking happy that i was somewhat able to play it, just didnt play the solo because im no metal master, but i must say, IM HAPPY AS FUCK THAT I CAN PLAY DEATH!.
@camon666 Haha yeah, i tried to play some Death a few days back too. Chuck's music is so brilliantly composed, intelligently progressive and unpredictable, yet it is so damn catchy and most of the riffs themselves aren't that hard to learn if you take your time. The solo's on the other hand...

@LetsGoMetsGo33 The Line was always blur. I think at the time, there was no real separation. Nobody was really knowing what he was doing, it was just considered "Extreme" Metal. Some people now classify bands like Death as "Old School Death Metal", and band like Kreator as "Death-Teutonic Trash Metal", so Yes, there are differences, and there are some similarities, but in the end, i don't think my damaged headbanger head can remember all the names, so I say, F*CK LABELS :D Lets Headbang!

The bassist of Symbolic and Perseverance is lame anyway... He skips all Digiorgio's fills and just copies Chuck. Steve Digiorgio was the only good bassist Death ever had.
@Brutalyeah The other guys were good. It's just Digiorgio is the best bassist ever (and comparing him to Chris Broderick makes no sense to me.) It's hard to compare to Digiorgio, but he had duties to Sadus, his main band. Best case scenario would have been Digiorgio being able to perform on all of Death's albums, but he wasn't able to, and that might be the biggest shame of Death's career.
I agree. He had so many projects going on, the biggest shame of Death's carreer it is indeed, imagine him performing on ALL albums, including the first 3... Would be so amazing. He writes such good counter riffs to Chuck and his fills are so good! I listen to Control Denied and Individual Thought patterns most of all Chucks stuff, basicly cus Steve is in it. Other albums seem to bore me way sooner. :)

This is good fucking music. I've got what is probably a stupid question: why are bands like Death, Obituary, and Morbid Angel considered a different genre than Kreator, Sepultura, and Sodom? I mean if I was to say Metallica and Megadeth vs. Cannibal Corpse (especially) and Deicide, that's an obvious difference between thrash metal and death metal, but in the bands I mentioned to me its blurred, yet Kreator is always labeled thrash and Death always, well, er.... death...

@LetsGoMetsGo33 The Line was always blur. I think at the time, there was no real separation. Nobody was really knowing what he was doing, it was just considered "Extreme" Metal. Some people now classify bands like Death as "Old School Death Metal", and band like Kreator as "Death-Teutonic Trash Metal", so Yes, there are differences, and there are some similarities, but in the end, i don't think my damaged headbanger head can remember all the names, so I say, F*CK LABELS :D Lets Headbang!

The bassist of Symbolic and Perseverance is lame anyway... He skips all Digiorgio's fills and just copies Chuck. Steve Digiorgio was the only good bassist Death ever had.

@Brutalyeah The other guys were good. It's just Digiorgio is the best bassist ever (and comparing him to Chris Broderick makes no sense to me.) It's hard to compare to Digiorgio, but he had duties to Sadus, his main band. Best case scenario would have been Digiorgio being able to perform on all of Death's albums, but he wasn't able to, and that might be the biggest shame of Death's career.

I agree. He had so many projects going on, the biggest shame of Death's carreer it is indeed, imagine him performing on ALL albums, including the first 3... Would be so amazing. He writes such good counter riffs to Chuck and his fills are so good! I listen to Control Denied and Individual Thought patterns most of all Chucks stuff, basicly cus Steve is in it. Other albums seem to bore me way sooner. :)
I compared him to Chris cus I feel like he's the most skilled guitarist around atm.

chuk rules and thats just the way it is. all people that said bad things say about this vid are the scavenger of human sorrow. i saw this concert live on dynamo open air i whas standing all the way in the front (yes that dude with the nice hair cut and extreme good looking thats me yes) anyway many people dont know how hard it is to perform on stage in this heat it whas 35 + that day . i did some gigs my self when i whas young . also in a metalband so i know how it feels.! like a zombie ritual
