I think dressage is ok and jumping also, but I think Jumping is at the most time too high...

And than it isn't riding...

Maybe others won't say being a Police horse is cruel for the horse, but I will. The hard surfaces they are forced to travel on constantly and all the things done to them in the line of duty IS cruel. Mainly because cops use their horse as a weapon against the people - not the horse's fault ! As for jumpers - it's very bad on their legs and joints and they suffer for it silently. When older they have terrible pain and their lives are cut short because of it Every jump does damage !.

I think jumping horses is the cruelest thing anyone can force a horse to do and every one that gets thrown deserves it ! If they would just for one minute realize what it does to their legs and bones and joints,but selfish know-it-all humans never think abut how it hurts the animal!Every time a horse lands on their front legs after a jump with all their weight more damage is done to their joints and bones and when they get older they suffer terribly! I've seen too much of that kind of suffering.

@CSAcitizen some horses like jumpinh like my fella i hate jumping but i do it coz he likes it you point him at a fence and not matter how much you try to turn him away take your leg of him ect he will still jump it you have a fence up in paddock and he takes himself over it same in the feild

I ride my own horse cash, and my lesson horse July, I switched cash over to English but I have fallen western as well, so all the people saying English is worse than western is not true, I would say they r equally as bad, but the falls r worth it if u get to ride such an amazing animal such as horses....

I got lucky once...really. I just don't recall two hours and I had one hell of a bump on my head (concussion)

Plus this is also why you only put your tippy toes in the saddle...not the whole ball of tour foot in there...getting caught and drug under a horse is not fun at all!! (did not experience thank you know who!)

you just have to fall off! it's part of it ... i stopped counting all the times my horse or my own recklessness sent me to the hospital^^ still, it's worth all the pain ... although falling is a part of it, it's a rather small one compared to all the fun i'm having XD ... and besides, not all accidents are as horrible as the ones in the vid

I got flung off for the fourth time in almost four years (apperantly I flew several feet) when the pony I ride decided not to go over the oxer, and instead gallop and buck. :( it hurt. I can only imagine how much it would have hurt for these riders and horses.

I know plenty of horseracing and it's suppose to be illegal in the sport of the whip to actually touch the horse's flesh, though I know there are some, not all, cruel people who do abuse their horses with whipping and such. But not every racehorse is abused. A lot of them are worth millions of dollars (if they are good) and couldn't afford to be harmed and are treated like gods. So not all of it is bad, but there is bad people in the sport, yes.

Just like in the real world, there are pet owners who are cruel and those who are not. It has nothing to do with the sports. I know people who take amazingly wonderful care of their horses, and any one thing done wrong and your out. There are people like that. It's not the sport.
