Along with Partridge this is his best work. Saw him in Manchester last week and was pretty disappointed. He'd said (beforehand) that it was "adult" and "edgy", but it was actually extremely predictable and corny (think - 80s panto with Jim Davidson). The Benny Hill theme accompanying Paul Calf was very apt.

He really made his name thanks to Armando Iannucci, Peter Baynham and Patrick Marber.

He's an extremely good comedy actor - with the right material, but he's not a funny person.
