  • I just beat this game for the first time two days ago. And if I could sum this game up in one word... "GRAND". This game is now in my Top 5 favorite games of all time.

  • Is it bad that the very first thing I thought of when I heard this was the Dallas theme? ..... I feel so ashamed >_<

  • I watched the moon out of my window when I was a child while listening to the Grandia Theme. It's an awesome feeling.

  • i miss this video game:(. justin, fenna, sue, and others.. I hope there will be grandia 2 on ps 2 or either ps 3

  • @aldrinrocky you havent tried grandia 2 on ps2? go check it out. :)

  • @thatchbro oh ya? okay i will search it soon:) thx for the info

  • @aldrinrocky Uh, yeah.... Grandia 2 came out in 2000.

  • @aldrinrocky You can get Grandia 2 for Playstation 2 and PC.

I believe it´s also for dreamcast.

  • @aldrinrocky There is grandia 2 for pc dreamcast and ps2 and grandia 3 for ps2

  • This music is so epic. In fact, the whole game is epic. Nothing more to say. This is ADVENTURE.

  • this theme alone melts my heart when i remember this... masterpiece of a game.

  • I got the original Disc, but it was broken :(

So I´m glad that i can download it on psn so i can play the game of my childhood :D

  • This theme is AWESOME. I've yet to finish this amazing game...I'm nearly on the end of disc one but the fact that every level takes an hour or two has discouraged me from continuing :O

  • @donmario94 that's just how old(ish) video games are. You actually get something for your money, not just a five hour story with a halfassed multiplayer wrapped in pretty packaging. Trust me, that this game is long is a good thing. At least the one to two hour dungeons are entertaining, with an above average battle system.

  • @marleyanddalton True, while I do like it, I've lost the patience to play long games, I used to but that's gone now xD

  • woop woop, bought it for a few bucks at a secondhand dealer a few days ago, and DAMN, I like it :D

  • Bye Bye Mr Miyaji, thanks for giving us Grandia, many years ago...

  • RIP Takeshi Miyaji T_T

And thanks to have bring us Grandia!

  • After listening to this music the old good memory coming flying back in

  • Holy shit, this song...

  • This should be one of those games that you need to play before you die. =]

  • iich liiebe dises geile album

  • やっぱこの曲は最高だ~!!!!永遠の名作ですよね!!

  • I absolutely LOVE this game! Such a awesome adventure that the game lets you explore! You start off as someone that knows nothing but you empirically learn and eventually become a full fledged adventurer! Not to mention the gameplay and plot are pretty awesome! Grandia is a must play for anyone trying out RPGs!

  • Final Fantasy 7 would be jelous lol

  • 2:15 AANNNNDDD the nostalgia comes flowing back....HARD. T_T

one of the best rpgs of the 90's...

  • It seems somebody posted that already, but, and I don't lie:

Thanks to Grandia 1... I learned English when I was like 8. Until TODAY, I profit by that. My English grades are the best, and people always ask me if there's an English problem or a word they can't translate. =DD

  • May Grandia flow through our bloods, TILL THE END!

  • I actually get goosebumps up my arm from listening to this, brings back so many great, joyful memories. It saddens me to think that there will probably never be another game I enjoy playing as much as Grandia, it was the game of my childhood. I just wish they'd made actual Sequels/Prequels to Grandia, instead of Grandia 2 and 3 (one that actually shows what happened to Justin's dad, and one hundreds of years later when the tales of Grandia are just a legend.)

  • @SneakyLittlePenguin still, Grandia 2 isn't bad, its actually quite good, just not as good as the first one. Just ordered Grandia 3, so I guess I'll see if it's actually as bad as people say it is >.>

  • I remember playing this as a kid, when I was about 8. Loved it back then and still love it now.

  • This game is the BEST ! :D And this song is... Perfect ! ^^

  • When i listen to this soundrack .... i can only Fell Sadness ... yes sadness .... it's bad that a game like this have an End .. Damn if it would be possible i would play it forever ..... Screw the Rpg games of our days ... no one will surpass the Great done Story line of this one.I am Glad i was one of the Guys who played this game.I am Sure that if i scroll down to the comments,i wont see even one who disagree to my and to the thumbed up comment's ... Fck am i Happy that i played it xD =D

  • :.-) DAS WAREN NOCH ZEITEN DAS IS SOO GEIL

  • @supertriosonicteam True... Laugh, Joy, and tears as well. It's all there, in this epic game. I love grandia.... to the end of my life.

  • I want to go on an adventure...That's that this music makes me feel.

  • Grandia is the best! it´s the only game that made me laugh so hard that i had to gasp for air!

  • One of the best, Actualy, Posibly the best RPG I have ever played with Grandia 2 coming up 2nd, and final fantasy 7 coming up 3rd.

Th music used in Grandia is beautiful. Need to download OST of this game, along with Grandia 2 OST

  • I remembered on my 13 birthday i have got this game as a present. It was and its the best rpg I ever played! It's a shame that the new industry destroy everything! I never ever have seen a soo emotional game like Grandia or FF8 anymore! Today the most games are created without love. Thats in music the same thing. Mass production, and money making have changed everything in the world.

  • A great theme for a great game :) Brings back wonderful memories

  • This game is a legend i love it to bits for 3 reasons 1. The music is legendary 2. The story is amazing andFeena is smokin hot

  • seriously...im happy that i played this game ...but im sad... there will never be a videogame that has the same quality, cause its all moneymaking now

  • ur damn right ^^

the story is amazing and i hope some more people are thinking like we do

  • @gitarrojoe money money money. Totally agree, and its a shame for us RPG fans :(

  • @thatchbro I am just as sad as you guys =( This new games have no soul in them compared to this masterpiece!

  • @gitarrojoe

Of course it was all about the money then, too.

Kids who grow up now will say the same thing about Pokemon silver-blue-rainbow-diamond.

  • @kraftyr i would say it was about "earning" money back then. the art of making video games of course deserves benefits but today its just about the money not quality. there is no art or quality wich could justify the sellings of todays game idustrie

  • @gitarrojoe your so right its making me sad now *plays grandia music again* X3

im actually playing the game myself as im typing this lol

  • @shadowbutterfly93 yeah... playing this game is like visiting an old good friend

  • @gitarrojoe and old and close friend indeed ^^

(already stuck in the game lol X3)

  • @gitarrojoe this is so true. money kill the art of videogame like grandia. but we never know. humans are so impredictable!!!

  • @gitarrojoe there were plenty of epic video games and grandia I,II are only few of them! Have you played tales of abyss, vesperia, xillia, ys7 or old school ps1 rpgs like alundra?

    Ah old memories!

  • @gitarrojoe As opposed to the PS1 era, where they made video games for vegetables and livestock?

  • @Jazalicious i dont know what you mean. my text is from a year and a half ago or so. to clarify my point, i think the big corporations are not interested in creating a piece of art. its actually our fault though, that we are not able to recognize raw talent. we get drowned in stimulating media crap, abundance. maybe its our education, maybe we are not ready to open our awareness. there has never been an era, there is just what i felt back then and what i dont feel now.

  • @gitarrojoe I mean that it's silly to say that big corporations ever made anything for anything else other than money. Nothing changed except for you. You outgrew games; or you couldn't cope with the direction later era games took. Are you the kind of person who hates it when a sequel is very different to the original? Does change suck? Because the craft itself is good as it ever was, but you're the one who's changed. Want to be convinced of games today? Play "Bastion" or "Portal".

  • @Jazalicious In my latest post i already mentioned, that it was more than a year ago when i wrote my first comment here. i also made my point clear for you so u dont have to twist words with me or anything, its up to you what you want to interpret into this. no art =/= Big Corporations =/= art..... as long as money cuts the quality of art, there are still barriers to break imo.

  • @Jazalicious i also want to know now, why your not so much interested about the subject of this discussion, but in my personallity. like it has anything to do with the "value" of my opinion on totally subjective things. different tastes are so uncommon to you? i know thats not the case. what i wrote in my very first comment is not objecive, it was more like describing a feeling wich is ofc very subjective.

  • There are no words good enough for discriptin the feelings the itself game music gives me..

this game not only gave me hundreds (still gives, mind you.) of houers of amusement, wobling emotions and such, but also taught me english. Yes, it dit. not a single word have i learned in school...

and it gave me stronger feelings..sence of moral..justice...friendship..right&wrong.. it all came here. Nothing has and never will beat Grandia.

    Forever in my heart!

  • @supertriosonicteam You said the right words. This is a RPG game of itself, own caliber. Simply said, is a piece of art.

  • @thatchbro exactly ART. feelings and emotions. this kind of game doen't exist now. for me.

  • @supertriosonicteam YES, RPG's were one of my greatest source to learn English.

  • man, they just dont make RPGs this good, yeah Shooters are fun, but I sure could sink myself into an epic jrpg story once again...

  • Such a beautifully orchestrated piece this is, it does indeed bring back memories!

  • Was probably the best game ever made!!

thats my opinion though everyone else can agree/disagree xD

  • i have this game since ....i think 10 years but i cant stop playing it

    its epic

has the best story of all time

and awesome music in it :)

just think on the fight btw. justin and Gadwin

  • glad hearing this, justin and gadwin fight is always stuck on my mind

  • my favorit game i love this game =D

  • oh yes this is really the best game !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Grandia was probably one of the greatest games of my childhood. Made ya really want to be an Adventurer and explore the world. The music really does go well with the theme too. I simply Love it.

  • truly best game ever^^ this music brings back memories. Gonna play it again tonight!!

  • Yes, best game ever! I feel so nostalgic when listening to this song =D I wanna play it again!
