Well, I've got to say that in the first few episodes i was a little frustrated that you didn't stomp the boxes with light on them (which the insides of them are items). But I didn't blame you for that and i still think you're awesome. Anyway, for me Dead Space is a really scary video games, even though I only watched the walkthroughs (because I don't have any X-Box, PS3 or the any PCs that work with this game and I'm trying to get one (probably PC), so, I can play this game by myself!

@skeleion Being scared is part of the fun. Why would you bother playing a survival horror game if you didn't want to get scared? That takes half the fun out of it. And yes, Dead Space was hella scary, at least for the first half. Anyone who says it isn't is full of it. The first 3 parts of this walkthrough are my first time ever playing, so of course I suck. Obviously not because the plot is Alien/Event Horizon, the creatures are EH/The Thing, and the ship is Event Horizon. There are original things in this game to be sure and it's a great game but to say it doesn't borrow from any of those movies is ignorant. I'm a saving wuss also, you're not alone. But I only died like ten times.

The creators of the game themselves said that those three movies in particular were huge influences. But the sum is greater than the parts. It's NOT a "ripoff" of any of those movies. If anything, it's a heartfelt, loving homage to the spirit of them while being quite unique and original in many respects at the same time. And yes, I've seen all 3 of those many, many times.

Similar elements and clear influence, yes, but the OVERALL experience (the sum of the parts) is completely different from any of those movies. It is a nice complement to the experience those movies provide, but a different experience.

Lol, I'd agree with all of that except for the fact that the story is almost EXACTLY the same as Alien 1-3. Mission with a secret purpose to capture and study an alien threat that the whole crew except one person knows nothing about. Lone survivor who tries to go against the company/military/cult. The list goes on.
@icetrey87 I'd say it's a pretty loose connection. While some of the basic elements are similar,. there's enough different about this story that I wouldn't call it a ripoff. The significant element of the religious cult who want the Marker, for example. Nothing like that in ANY of the aforementioned movies. If you break ANY story down to its bare elements chances are you could link it to other, similar stories and brand it a "ripoff." You could call it an X-files ripoff using the same examples.

@G0TH1C42009 You can get more guns, yes. But if they're ALL out of ammo...all you can do is swing whatever gun you've got active and try to bludgeon the enemy to death. There aren't any "unlimited ammo" guns.

It's funny because English is my 3rd language, so when they told me "aim for the limbs" in the game, I didn't know what limbs were...so I found it so hard to kill enemies and thought something was wrong with this game so I brought it back and never played it again! But now that I know my mistake I'll try again!

First time is always the best time playing it you don't know what to expect. especially when it comes to game like this that like to tease ya with terror.
Yeah, I'm sure you had it COMPLETELY mastered the first time you played it. Not. Try to be aware of WHAT you're actually watching (in this case the first time I EVER picked up a controller and played this game, knowing NOTHING about how to play it, solely to see how scary it was) before shooting your mouth off. Watch from Part 4 if you can't handle watching someone's first time playing it. From then on is much later, after I had finished it a couple times, and is more of a proper walkthrough.
i was just wondering if anyone could tell me , are the Necromorphs in this game scripted or is there like and unlimited spawn with random attacks or what ?
Pretty sure they're all scripted, there aren't any unlimited spawn areas that I recall. Once you clear out an area, it stays clear. Well, unless you return to that area later in the game, in which case there's more Necros by that point. There are lots of "trigger" points, where they won't be activated until you pass those points. But there's no way around those triggers.

How is this scary? I've seen comments about omg this is scariest! What bit of it's scary? The monsters? I just seen them, i'm at 3:36 and it's not so scary.. :o Please someone explain WITHOUT the need of "Omg so you think your harder then me?" Or "noob.." comments.
It's not seeing the monsters that's scary, it's the atmosphere, the sound, the lighting, the tension, the suspense, the anticipation of what's lurking around the next corner...ALL of those things in combination. To fully understand, it's best to play it. But our reactions alone should make it pretty obvious... And it's best to start from Part 1 (if you didn't, that is). Some parts are obviously going to be scarier than others...
at 2:53 I was so into the game that I forgot about the little window in the corner, and actually thought your wife under the blankets were a monster. I was like "Oh SNAP!", only that what I actually said was alittle bit dirtier, lol

they must hav an incredible amount of sensitivity in their limbs if they die in 1 shot blowing their limb away, its hard to beleive cus their arms look mostly of bone n skin rather then an area pack with sensors like the head or organ like the body, HeadShots ftw xD
Well, also bear in mind that all of the "weapons" that Isaac uses are actually mining tools. Tools designed to cut through ROCK. So they slice through bone like butter. :)

theres many things that you could say but the most logical one is, They don't need brains. If you read all the information about the "hive mind" it controles all the necromorphs, So they don't think indavidually if 1 knows where you are the rest will instantly know. Thats the most logical reason. It's kinda like the thing it doesn't need the brain in the hosts body (however necromorphs can't make legs and arms out of each part and run away like the thing can) XD
so i asume the plasma rifle is made to cut through gold? lol only joking, But no not all the weapons are only things like the line gun, force gun, Plasma cutter and a few more the flame thrower and plasma rifle arn't mining tools. It wasn't that it was hard to find ammo, I was just using a heckuva lot of it at this early stage, acting more out of fear than strategy. I didn't even know you could stomp on the green boxes until this part.

@G0TH1C42009 You can get more guns, yes. But if they're ALL out of ammo...all you can do is swing whatever gun you've got active and try to bludgeon the enemy to death. There aren't any "unlimited ammo" guns.

It's funny because English is my 3rd language, so when they told me "aim for the limbs" in the game, I didn't know what limbs were...so I found it so hard to kill enemies and thought something was wrong with this game so I brought it back and never played it again! But now that I know my mistake I'll try again!

Yeah, I'm sure you had it COMPLETELY mastered the first time you played it. Not. Try to be aware of WHAT you're actually watching (in this case the first time I EVER picked up a controller and played this game, knowing NOTHING about how to play it, solely to see how scary it was) before shooting your mouth off. Watch from Part 4 if you can't handle watching someone's first time playing it. From then on is much later, after I had finished it a couple times, and is more of a proper walkthrough.

i was just wondering if anyone could tell me , are the Necromorphs in this game scripted or is there like and unlimited spawn with random attacks or what ?

Pretty sure they're all scripted, there aren't any unlimited spawn areas that I recall. Once you clear out an area, it stays clear. Well, unless you return to that area later in the game, in which case there's more Necros by that point. There are lots of "trigger" points, where they won't be activated until you pass those points. But there's no way around those triggers.

It's not seeing the monsters that's scary, it's the atmosphere, the sound, the lighting, the tension, the suspense, the anticipation of what's lurking around the next corner...ALL of those things in combination. To fully understand, it's best to play it. But our reactions alone should make it pretty obvious... And it's best to start from Part 1 (if you didn't, that is). Some parts are obviously going to be scarier than others...

When my friend played this, he blew the head of one and it still came after him. He then proceeded to empty an entire clip on the bitch, even when it went down, he didn't stop shooting til his clip was EMPTY

Lol @ the point when you figured out you could stomp the crates open (I'm too lazy to go looking for the exact point, though.). I had been watching the other 2 vids, and every time I saw you pass the crates w/o stomping them, I'm like, "What are you doing?! Break the boxes!" they must hav an incredible amount of sensitivity in their limbs if they die in 1 shot blowing their limb away, its hard to beleive cus their arms look mostly of bone n skin rather then an area pack with sensors like the head or organ like the body, HeadShots ftw xD

Well, also bear in mind that all of the "weapons" that Isaac uses are actually mining tools. Tools designed to cut through ROCK. So they slice through bone like butter. :)

theres many things that you could say but the most logical one is, They don't need brains. If you read all the information about the "hive mind" it controles all the necromorphs, So they don't think indavidually if 1 knows where you are the rest will instantly know. Thats the most logical reason. It's kinda like the thing it doesn't need the brain in the hosts body (however necromorphs can't make legs and arms out of each part and run away like the thing can) XD

so i asume the plasma rifle is made to cut through gold? lol only joking, But no not all the weapons are only things like the line gun, force gun, Plasma cutter and a few more the flame thrower and plasma rifle arn't mining tools. Just to fill you in...i have no idea why they have plasma rifle ammunition on a deep space mining ship. It's weird.

From Part 4 onward is after I finished the game a couple of times and it becomes a more "proper" walkthrough. The first 3 parts are my first time ever picking up a controller and playing. Don't like it, don't watch it. But keep the attitude to yourself.

Oh god, not another one... The first three parts of this video series are my first time EVER picking up a controller and playing. The whole point was to get my FIRST IMPRESSIONS and INITIAL REACTIONS to the game without having played it before. Specifically, to see just how scary it actually is. This is not, and was never intended to be, a kick-ass showcase of awesome mad skillz of pwnage. From Part 4 onward, I have finished the game twice and it becomes a more "proper" walkthrough. Clear?

It wasn't that it was hard to find ammo, I was just using a heckuva lot of it at this early stage, acting more out of fear than strategy. Remember, this was the first time I EVER picked up a controller and played this game, so you're seeing my initial reactions as they happened. I didn't even know you could stomp on the green boxes until this part.
