  • So the tps is NOT the idle setting, but then what is TPS?

  • @sacheus youre resetting the trottle..you bottom it out to Zero then tell it to reset at that zero bc its the throttle closed position.. then you kick it up to 5.5% on the idle adjust so it will at least get an Idle when you start the bike.. then you go ahead and turn the idle adjust agian and bring the idle rpm up to 1050-1150... that way, when your hand is off the trottle it will idle at 1050-1150.. youre showing the ecm "closed" position when you reset, then youre showing it where to idle.

  • Thanks for making this video. I just rest the tps on my XB, and it worked like the vid.

  • @ mk2mike & XSivPSI

The 5.2 to 5.5 is just what the buell tuning guide says. It confused me as well. I would just set it according to RPM and don't worry about the degrees.

  • When you're setting the tps you say to set it to 5.2-5.5° but I can barely see the degree box (looks like 4.something) and the % box is the one you set to 5.5. So which is it? Also, how do you set the idle speed at the end? turn the same thing you turn to set the tps? Does it not matter that it screws up the value previously set (5.2-5.5°or%...)?

  • @XSivPSI id like to know this as well as when I set my tps to these values my idle is around 900rpm
