  • As long as you're just looking for regular aluminum powder and not dark aluminum, it can be bought online. As for the water bottles, winter break I'm sure your brother and I will have fun :)

  • hey theorymaker03.....blow up more water bottles....hahahaha

  • where do you obtain aluminum powder?

  • - aluminum foil (casing for the later explosives) - 91% Isopropyl Alcohol (detonator for early explosives) - electronic detonator (for larger later ones) - fuse (detonating some night ones) explosives: -black powder (base explosive in all fast explosions) - fine-milled flour (to monitor reaction speed) - charcoal (fuel) - sugar (fuel) - iron fillings (small sparks) - magnesium powder - aluminum powder - zinc powder (blue colorant)
  • black powder isnt an explosive (: but im not sure if you can detonate it /: but definately not an explosive

  • Actully, black powder is considered a low explosive. The trick between getting it to simply burn and actually explode is the amount of pressure applied.

Detonation is easy, any fuse or electronic ignition works.

  • fuse wont work otherwise you confine it (; and im not sure about electronic ignitor because that makes friction ... and AM detonates by friction but deflagrates by flame.... but i found out that sulfurless BP have about 1300 m/s det. rate and normal BP have about 4-500 m/s det rate.. weird?

  • Fuse works, so long as you pack it right. for the few charges we detonated that way, we melted a fuse right into the side of the pill bottle-canister to ensure a good seal. As for electric ignitors, they work well enough (the majority of charges above used them). Remember, we weren't trying to make real bombs, just visually appealing explosives :)

  • you tried real explosive before? p: dangerous but awesome ^^

  • haha lets see:

    All Materials used:

    - Black powder (base explosive)

    -

  • What materials did you use? Where did you buy them also? and for how much?

  • teach?

  • nice
