  • The song is called Brasilero and it's from her Nataraja CD in 2006.

  • Who is the artist for the first song in this video?

  • Six billion rhythmic, creative being on this planet. That's a lot of good energy! Let's dance!

  • i was there!! so exciting!!

  • it's a good thing that pseudo intellectuals believe their own BS, because no one else does. is TEDx infecting burning man, or is burning man infecting TEDx? it's all a bunch of feminist propaganda and sensitive male crap.

  • Isadora Duncan dancing free in this life!

  • Yaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! SHIVA you are THE goddesss!!!!! Thankoo for your passion and your inspiration.. :-) :-) ;-)

  • Does anyone know the names of the songs she uses to dance to? Good Talk!

  • Now I'm going to be up all night! LOL

  • you go on and on and the music is too loud.

  • The idea that dancing was forbidden seems so far-fetched - but then again most cities in California require a special permit for any business to have a dance floor and allow dancing. Not having a dance permit and encouraging or allowing it to happen at your business can get you arrested, in California, in 2011.

  • I think it would be hard to be the cameraman here and not be able to shake your thang thang.

  • So the comment that if your are "cool, and intellectual you don't move," seems false. Is see those people move all the time when goth, industrial, and sometimes when jungle or dub step comes on--they just hate house and anything with a drum circle. Just because they don't move at the same time as everyone else or to the same beat as the majority of society does not mean they should be disparaged.

  • Amazing... I love the part where the babies are dancing!!!

Shiva you rock. Way to put it all together into a digestible, soul-stirring presentation...

I'm sitting in an airport lounge and I'm THIS close to getting up and dancing my booty off.

Way to go Shiva -- Love you Sista!

  • @mrmodifier11 I hope by "THIS close" you mean you started dancing several minutes ago.

  • If the talk wasn't convoluted so much in new age shallow talk, there's some interesting historical perspective about the vital need for dancing.
