Thanks a lot for this tutorial! It's very well explained, even if I'm french, it's easy to understand. The preset is now in the folder, waiting to be used... :)))
There's little point in doing that... the amount of Blur and Levels have to be set to taste for each video clip. Besides, it would take longer for you to download the preset, navigate to your presets folder, and then copy it over than it would to simply open up Premiere and create the preset yourself...
Don't get me wrong, your request isn't that far off-base... programs like After Effects allow you to save multiple effects with various keyframes as a single effect preset. In fact, some "plug-ins" for After Effects are simply very complex presets for standard effects. It was just that in this case, with Premiere, its not practical. Thanks for checking out the tutorial though!
You can't save custom transitions, but you can set a transition as the default (right hand mouse click, "set selected as default transition") and you can set the duration in your General Preferences, which will set the default duration for all transitions.
Hi, sorry for the delay, I just got back from NAB in Las Vegas. You can save your effect as a preset by right hand mouse clicking on the effect in the Effect Controls Panel, and then select "Save as Preset". You can give it whatever name you want. It will then appear in your "Presets" folder in your Effects Panel.
tnx.
