This one: Windows6.1-KB958559-x64 and this one: Windows6.1-KB977206-x64 Go to this website: filecrop(.)com/Windows6.1-KB95­8559-x64.msu.html and find the files in there using CTRL + F on your keyboard. Download, install the update files. Use this guys instruction for the rest of the installation.

this is what happens: i have done everything the way you said, i did the updates and the installation in under the programs menu i have a folder called Windows Virtual PC and in there is Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode. When i click XP mode i get a message telling me "The setup file must be downloaded and installed for this feature to work" Then when i click Virtual PC i have a windows come up for VIRTUAL MACHINES and there is nothing in that folder.

Do you have any idea on what to do?

i have non-geniune win ult 7 with 64 bit. please advise, i tried going on the ms website but they require me to download the validating tool to scan my computer prior to proceeding with anything else like downloading from them. i read other people say they get a black screen one the computer update happened....i don't want to screw up my computer..what to do?

@beibeipoo Have u ever did updates before ? If u did and they did not cach u , then yes u can but if ur win is not activated then just dont . Updates arent so important btw . My win is W7 64bit ultimate and i did only a few updates , like video , audio and camera driver , all the other things like "security" updates are pointless but if u want them just do it . Btw do u have an antivirus ?

hi, thank you so much for your help...i just finished installing and it worked fine. I find the automatic updates really annoying because it does the updates after i shutdown and so i have only allow check for updates and for the computer to ask me if i want to install updates. so far it's been like that a few months after i bought this computer last year. and yes i have norton antivirus.

do you mean your origianl installed windows 7 or a virtual windows 7.

windows xp mode runs in a components windows virtual pc. this programs allows you to run any windows via hard disk(windows xp provided in the links) or a CD. you can use any windows versions you like. you can minimize this program to go back and work in windows 7 and also have it run side by side(windows7 on 1 side and windows xp and 2nd side) you can resize the program aswell.

it has been known that programs and components that work on 32 bit will work on 64 bit beucase the graphics are decoded. only 64 bit cant run on 32 bit. this is 32 bit so it should work on 64 bit. thnkz for watching my video.,
