Why would they need magnification to understand the existence of sperm cells. Surely through contemplation they could understand that women produce eggs by menstruation and sex produces babies. So certainly men produce the seed.

@planetunion - I see some people find your suggestion of an intuitive understanding of the shape of the sperm cell is "foolish" but I think it has merit. If you think about the Hermetic axiom "as above, so below" (which can apply to numerous things) within the realm of visual form, you'll find the fiddlehead(plant), nautilus shell, Ram's horn, whirlpool, hurricane, spiral galaxy all sharing the golden spiral. There is no obvious 'causal' connection but they share a common underlying principle

@letmeknowtruth - the Mayan language word for seed and egg is the same thing, I think it's also the same as zero - which makes sense, as the other numbers all come out of the principal of zero.

Point being, Mayan, like many if not all ancient languages (and those that remain today) names things for what they in fact are functionally. ie a seed is the same thing as an egg. A germinating seed does resemble a sperm - circular or ovalish with a tail / shoot.

The answers to these questions and so much more are easily found in The Holy Bible. Jesus laid these all out for us and warned of of the day His return. "As in the days of Noah so shall the comming of the Son of Man be". Genesis 6 will tell you how "the sperm" image ended up on the temple wall. The "fallen" angels are breaking thru again.
