  • i like shinny

  • you dont say alot

  • How's the TV??? Nearly... two years now!!!

  • @kevzho1 Still love it.. I still use it exclusively for gaming and movie watching, and it is still as stunningly clear as it was on day 1!

  • next time when u buy a tv keep it standing right side up.... i dont know y when i bought my 50inch plasma from circuit city they wouldnt let me lay it down.... lucky for me my farther owns a towing business.

  • That's for plasma displays, since they have a glass screen that can crack, they recommend shipping them upright. It doesn't matter for LCDs as much, since their screens are made of plastic that is less likely to crack.

  • Where did u get that desk?

  • I have no clue.. I think it was one of the Office stores like Office Depot or something, but it's many many years old, so I doubt they still have it.

  • does it have voice

  • Yo is this t.v good for playing your ps3?

  • Yeah, it's great. That's what I use my TV for, along with watching movies. I don't even watch TV on it.

  • I just got this TV for like 540 dollars, but I haven't set it up until I get my parts mailed in for my TV Stand.

  • sorry i mean... did the parts not come in the box with the TV?

  • No. The parts came in for the TV. The TV stand however had a defective part, which delayed me from being able to set up the TV. I called up the people for the TV stand, they were more than happy to mail a replacement part to me for free. Now I have my TV set up, and I must say, it's amazing!

  • I bought the TV stand separate from the TV.

  • Yeah, at some Best Buy stores this TV went to clearance for as low as $499. But inventory is so scarce now, good luck in finding one at that price.

  • i have the same tv i got it at best buy with warnnty for like 600

  • how is it as a PC monitor?

  • It's great, I use it just about every night to watch a movie that's on my PC. I use the HDMI connection with an adapter for DVI for my computer, and it displays 1920x1080 content perfectly!

  • Yeah mate My Cousin Has the same tv and Usese the VGA Cable to and everthing. This TV is worth its Cash Im Going to get mine 2mr

  • i was at some stores today here in kosova (EUROPE) and i found some sony bravias U series for 400-500 euros but they runned in 720p , i found a samsung 32 inch for 590 that runs in full HD 1080P :D! i dont know what i should do :P

  • I am going to by the 32 inch too I would recomend getting the 32''. Do not miss your chance on getting 1080P! (for DonnyKhg)

  • yeah bro thats what im going to buy , i couldnt find a 32 inch sony bravia full HD so i have to buy a SAMSUNG :D ! add me and we talk ok :D?!

  • dude $979.50 you got ripped off you can get that for like 400 something dollars in other stores

  • I got it over a year ago.. prices fall over time.

  • i just ordered the SONY 37V5500 gonna make a video about this lcd so suscrib me if u want

    peace !

  • dude if i was u and i did not have a car i would rather get one then that tv but its nice

  • Haha! I have a car, but I don't think you could find a $1000 dollar car that is any good.

  • nice tv.i almost bought the same one the other day. i gotta ask do u like the red because i sure do. great vid

  • Yeah, the red is nice.

  • Does anyone know if this TV has any input lag while gaming?

  • It does not.

  • r u rich

  • I worked at a grocery store all summer to save up for this TV, so I wouldn't say so.

  • this is the 32 inch?

  • i got the A330 i wish mine had the side inputs too... but samsungs r best!!!!!

  • why buy 1080p so small,, ur not gunna notice much of a difference....

  • Actually you do. Next to a 32" 720p TV, I noticed a significant difference in the detail and clarity. If you don't notice a difference, you need glasses.

  • ive got my new tv now 32" like urs samsung good quality but only thing wrong with it is i cant plug my laptop into it properly. But i probably wouldnt use that anyway so im not worried! LOL

  • 32 inch is more crisp

  • I got a 46" 650 series, and it looks great.

From what I heard, Samsung makes the best LCD so far

    plasma will be Sony

  • Panasonic makes better Plasmas in my opinion

  • Yes they do, but this isn't plasma. It's an LCD

  • Panasonic is good because of the new 600hz

  • yeah

    i got a Panasonic 58'' Plasma HDTV but its a 50/60Hz model

    but it still kick ass

  • Sony doesn't even make plasma TV's.

  • omg what was i saying lol i meant Pioneer

  • im waiting to get a 32" samsung bit like that but its gunna lok huge in my bedroom! i cant wait!!!!!

  • i have the samsung too

    40 inches for $975 and you pay $979 for a 32 inches

you should buy the 40 inches 1080p the one i have!

  • Just got the 47 inch version, but look when I got this TV. The price wasn't bad back then.

  • This T.V is practically a steal If i use my Best Buy employee Discount

  • I will buy a 40" LCD TV.

It will be hard to take it out of the package.

  • Yeah, we just got the 47 inch version from Amazon, and they took it out of the package for us when they shipped it, which is pretty nice, since the thing is huge.

  • good stuff ,iv had a hard on for this tv 40 inch tho

  • Yo you got a red box mines blue

  • I'm looking at buying the same TV, but I can't find it anywhere in a store, so I can't see it "in action". Seeing that you probably researched before you bought, are you happy with the TV compared to the other options you had?

I was looking at the Panasonic 32" (32LX85) and the Samsung 32" (LN32550), and the 650 series is a bit more expensive, but looks like it's well worth it.

Any opinions you have would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

  • Yeah, they carry the larger version in Best Buy, but I don't remember seeing this model there. I am extremely happy with this TV, though it was expensive, the image quality is superb, and definitely in my opinion the best 32" LCD out there, though the Sony model might come close, I prefer the Samsung for its styling, menus, options, and features. The only downside is that the wheel on the remote is not as responsive as I would have liked, and sometimes the menus can be slow.

  • If a wheel on a remote is the worst thing, then that sounds like a phenomenal TV! I assume the Sony you're referring to is the KDL-32XBR6?

Bet you had no idea that you'd become YouTube's resident LN32A650 expert by opening a box!

  • Yeah, the XBR model is pretty comparable as far as price, but is missing some key features and isn't quite as adjustable. It does have a thinner bezel though, which makes it look pretty nice, but I kinda like the touch of color, and even if you dont, most of the time it just looks black.

  • Keep in mind, I ONLY use 1080p, 720p, and DVD's on this TV as of right now, but when I watched TV on it, it handled upscaling admirably. For HD gaming and movie watching, it is unrivaled. Blacks are so inky it's stunning, and the PS3 especially looks amazing on this TV. I highly recommend this model, though search around for the best deal before buying, Amazon has a pretty good price now, but there are others out there. This TV is perfect for a dorm room or bedroom of a discerning HD lover.

  • Go for the panasonic, They are incredible, I just recently bought the TH-42PZ80 which is the big brother to it but they arent too different. You would NOT regret it, trust me.

  • yes its shiny i can tell because i could see the reflection of your computer around the edges of the tv.

  • Dude is someone smoking a bong in the back ground continuously?

  • I know, it sounds awful, completely awful. I really have no idea why, apparently the mic was picking up some weird ass noises. It works perfectly fine in my other videos. Sorry about that, I'd fix it if I could, but re-uploading isn't an option.

  • It sound like someone is getting high as he is unpacking

  • how everyone searched for the best resolution in which we know now is 1080P we now know the next thing in TV's are The Refresh Rate 120Hz which is the best to date

  • It took me a bit to understand what the heck you're talking about, but I disagree. I don't think most people would even notice a difference between 60Hz and 120Hz, while everyone can notice the difference between 720p and 1080p. Also, 1080p is far from the best resolution, and 120Hz is not the best refresh rate by a long shot. Check your facts.

  • The only negative thing(in my book) is the refresh rate is only 60Hz?

u get what u pay for I GUESS

  • Well it's one of the most expensive 32 inch TVs out there. I don't think any 32 inch currently has 120Hz, that said, the so called feature adds an effect to video that makes it look fake to me. 60Hz is perfectly fine, and I don't expect all TVs to adopt a 120Hz refresh rate in the future.

  • sick tv man

just wondering what is the refresh rate?(60Hz or 120Hz)

  • Only 60 Hz.

  • is there a fishtank behind the camera i can hear bubbling or something lol, nice tv

  • Nah, for some reason the audio came out terrible on this video. It worked just fine in other videos, but decided to sound all bubbly and cruddy on this one. Sorry!!

  • is that a 720p or a 1080p

    ANYONE?

  • It's 1080p.

  • i got a 40 inch samsung lcd for 699 euro

  • wow that's pretty cool man makes me wanna buy one now lol

  • A lot better AWESOME!

  • really to noisy you shouldve put some music and it sounds like you set the camera on a fish tank that is bubbling really loud

  • Yeah, I'm really not sure why the audio quality is so awful. In my other videos, I used the same camera, and the audio is perfect. At first I put music to it, but people complained, so I removed it. Sorry about the terrible, unexplainable audio quality!

  • still cool though i think i know the answer to this already but does this 32 inch 650 series have 120hz or 60 im almost positive that its 60 hz and then 120 on the 40 incher please if you know tell me thx

  • It's only 60 hz. That said, I'm not fond of the faux smooth effect that is created by the 120 hz TVs I've seen, they just look fake. Picture is top notch on the 650 line though, even the ones with 120 hz (once you turn it off).

  • lol 3:23 *wheres the tv??*

  • hey wats ur ps3 gamertag?

  • Heh.. it's Kev50027. I mostly play Rainbow Six Vegas 2 online, but I've been playing a lot of Fallout 3 on PC lately. Feel free to add me as a friend.

  • awsome kool alright im cheeseburgerriot no spaces or periods :D

  • i've got the 52 inch version

  • is samsung good for gaming? or does it last long or does this brand good? saome said that 32" has only 720p which is not good for gaming is this true?

  • Yes, this Samsung model is perfect for gaming, I've been a fan of Samsung LCDs since they started making them, and never had any problems with them. This is one of a few 32" TVs that has 1080p. To be honest, most games run in 720p, but having the extra resolution never hurts, and when there is a game that supports 1080p, it looks stunning. 720p is fine for gaming, but I got 1080p because I watch blu-rays and use it for computing as well.

  • can i hook up a keyboard and a mouse to the ps3? and use it for games?

  • I believe some games support mouse and keyboard. I heard about a special mouse and keyboard combination that tricks the console into thinking it is a normal controller. All I know for sure is that you can use the mouse and keyboard in the menu and to surf the web.

  • i know you can for unreal tournament 3

  • Ur A Dope At The End Thats Not The Same TV

  • LOL!! You make me laugh. Why on earth would I have any reason to put another TV there? Of course it's the same TV. It might look a bit different from a digital camera than a webcam, but it's the same.

  • Thanks for posting this video its helped me buy my new samsung 32" tv

  • Hope you enjoy it!

  • Im going to get the same TV, read all the reviews and they all say it is a great set for Xbox360 and PS3 gaming. Congrats on your purchase ^.^

  • I would have gotten this tv, but the input lag just kills it for me. Despite what people say, a 60 ms lag is just too much and clearly noticeable. Just knowing that it's there and might affect the outcome of playing first person shooters etc., is enough for me to pass on this one.

  • I don't know where you got the idea that this TV has 60ms of lag, but the sole reason I got this TV was to play PS3 and Xbox3shitty games on it, and I have noticed no lag whatsoever. It even has a "game" mode, but it doesn't make a noticeable difference for me. If it says anything about the lag/TV, my scores on online games have only gone up since I got the TV.

  • I found out that in the manual that comes with the TV it says the MS Response time is 6ms so that is fantastic for an LCD and on AVForums they all say gaming on this screen is fantastic, just switch off the 100hz feature that is only on the 37inch and above models ^^

  • I'm thinking about getting a samsund 32" quite soon, is it any good? would you recomend that i buy it?

  • It is an excellent TV for HD sources, I haven't really used it much with SD sources, but they look pretty good as well. The price is the only thing. If you are willing to pay the price for one of the best 32 inch LCDs, this TV is great, but if you're willing to sacrifice some performance for a few hundred bucks, Samsung has cheaper models. I am glad I got this model, and I love it, it is perfect for PS3 and 360 gaming.

  • Yeah, I'll be using it for my 360, it does cost a hell of alot but i'll be getting a similar model off of amazon which is a great price (i live in england by the way) its only £380. Thanks for the advice.

  • That is an amazing price, even after conversion! I payed right under $1,000 USD for mine.

  • Compared to the rice of other TV's in the same size range, this is one of the most expensive. Probably due to the 120hz technology and many others.

  • Just to clear things up, no 32 inch LCD as of now (that I know of) has 120hz. Those are in the larger models only. That being said, the 32 inch model is still the best 32 incher out there, though the Sony puts up a good fight.

  • Really? I thought all TV's in the 650 line have 120hz feature.

  • according to Samsung's Tv Innovation website pages*samsung*com/us/hd/

when you click on the 120hz innovation, it tells you what series have the 120hz feature, and it includes the 32" 650 series LCD television.

  • I take it back, the 120hz is only for models 40" and above.

  • Dude, what kind of camera are you using!? What settings!? Damn good quality..

  • I was using the Logitech QuickCam® Pro for Notebooks (with my desktop). It is a pretty nice webcam. Conversely, my Dell XPS M1530 has the shittiest webcam I've ever used on a laptop.. lol.

  • Thanks.. Do, you have a game system you should do a video of you playing a game on it for like 10 minutes.. Lol

  • i say you shouldve saved up for atleast a 40...nice tv anyway..

  • Well I would have, except I'm in college, and my room is a bit too small for a 40 inch, plus I wouldn't be able to fit one in my car. In fact I dont think the 32 inch even fits in my car.

  • u sure take ur sweet ass time lol

  • Is that Red???

    lucky, mine is just Black

  • Yes, the 550 model is just black. The 650 model adds several other improvements as well.

  • yeah i have the LN32A330 model.

it looks just like the red one but its just black. haha and my remote is different than your two remotes.

  • the stand was already put togeter. it never comes like that.

  • Well, the stand wasn't connected to the TV. I've never gotten a TV that came with a stand that required anything more than attaching it to the TV.

  • i absolutely love the hint of red the touch of color series from samsung has. everybody loves eye candy! but i dont see the point in getting a 32" at 720p. ur never gonna notice the difference even as a monitor. that model seems to expensive to me. its like 1000 dollars now while the LN32A450(not a ToC) is 700 dollars. only a few small differences besides being 720p.

  • I disagree. I have another 32 inch 720p display, and when playing on the PS3, or even when watching standard def content or hooking up a PC, the display is so much more crisp. Text is silky smooth rather than blocky. People who say 1080p is a waste either haven't seen a 1080p 32 inch display, or have really bad vision. I can tell the difference from across the room, it's just so.. nice!

  • lol @ dead bug ...wtf lol

  • LOL my bad man, your accent sounded aussie for a bit

    sorry bro

  • lol! I am sometimes good at the aussie accent, but I didn't mean to sound like it. Hope you love your new TV mate!

  • Man it looks SOOO good on my ps3 and watching the olympics.

  • oh and mate your aussie! i got mine from the good guys for $1230. its going in my room in 3 days until our 50 inch plasma is fixed :D

  • got one of these today

  • same as the 1 im getting in a few days weeeeeeeee

  • i have LN32A450 and i can set it to 1080p but when i bought it it said it has Input Capabilities are 480i/480p/720p/1080i/1080p but its native resolution is 1366 x 768 can anyone explain?

  • That set runs at 720p, at 1366x768. It doesn't display everything from a 1080p source. At 32 inches, 1080p isn't necessary, but it really does make a noticeable difference!

  • hey Kev, that is some confusing stuff. So, the 330, and 450 can do the 1080input, but that is not native? Ok, so what is the difference? I know they are 720p's, but how is the 550-650(yours) better with a PC connection, if the others can actually do 1080 source when setting it? Just a bit confused, in any case I will try to go for the 550-650 probably.

  • The 330 and 450 models don't have as many pixels on the display as the 550 or 650. They have 1366 x 768 panels rather than 1920 x 1080. So if you input 1080p into a 720p TV (like the 450), it will not display all of the pixels, and make you scroll around the screen. The highest resolution you can set on a 720p panel is the 1366 x 768 while a 1080p panel like the 550 can handle 1920 x 1080. In the end, it's just more pixels.

  • How much man?

  • Adorama Camera (online) for $979.50 with free shipping.

  • dude it soundslike your cameras under water lol

  • Yeah I know, it's a webcam, and I didn't bother getting out a dedicated mic, so the mic on the webcam sounds kinda cruddy, though it is quite a nice webcam (the video quality is fantastic at 2 MP).

  • SAMSUNG IS THE BEST

OK im gonna buy one but how much???

    anyone answer pleaaaaaaaaaaase

  • This model was purchased from Adorama Camera (online) for $979.50 with free shipping.

  • my lg is bigger and better

  • smells like new shoes. lol.

  • I do not notice any buzzing noises at all, and I have a silent room. I have messed around with colors a bit, but found the default setting to be quite good. It offers tons of options and controls. The viewing angles are perfect, color appears the same from every angle. Black levels are stunning, and colors are really vivid, even when I have it in normal, not vivid. The vivid mode makes colors too bright for me. Anything else you want to know? About the video.. I'm working on it!

  • Hey KEV u should check out the cnet calibration for dark rooms they give you all the setting u hsould set for the samsung a650.

  • I purchased the LCD mostly for gaming and PC use. I don't watch TV much, and if I do, I use hulu on my PC connected to my TV. I have not noticed any lag whatsoever, and I play games like Vegas 2 and GTA online. I have improved my scores over my old TV (a 23" Samsung 720p), I'm guessing because everything is bigger! The set does have a "gaming" mode that optimizes it for fast refreshes, but switching back and forth I didn't notice a difference. (cont..)

  • thank you so much i was worried about input lag alot but it seems everybody is basing that off scientific measures and stuff so its like you cant realy tell that it is lagging. anyways how does gta4 look cause my gta4 on my hdtv is a bit too dark and night is kinda unbearable but with the frekin humoungous contrst ratio of this tv im sure night time is easy to see through and it looks amazing

  • - Have you tried using the LCD for gaming.. in lot's of forums it says the samy has 2 frames input lag built in.. can you tell me what you've seen from that?

    - Have you tried adjusting the RGB values ?

AND MOSTTTTTTTTTT IMPORTANT OF ALL DO YOU HEAR ANY BUZZING NOISE OR HIGH PITCHED NOISE FROM THE UNIT in the room with no silence?

    Let me know

By the way can you record some vids with the set on TV and PC to see the colors I would really apreciatte it

  • Sorry, I commented above, reply isn't working for me for some reason. Thanks!

  • Hey cool you're the only one who's shown a a650 on youtube, I'm going to ask you a couple lot of questions if you don't mind.. ;) heh . Thing is I was in between the Panasonic Viera 32LZ800 or the Samsung LN32A550 or A650 which is the one you got.

    NOw I know

    - Samsuns have a PVA panel, how are the viewing angles? and how are the black levels compared to the colors .. do colors come out vivid on screen.. or the black pushed them away..

  • Can you post a video using with de ps3 on 1080p?? The response time of this tv hows works for video games?? I want this tv set looks amazing CONGRA!!

  • hey sharpy respnce time is not the time it takes for the source to appear on the screen but for the time it takes for a gray pixel to turn black

  • What are the capabilities of the Wiselink USB 2.0 port on your model? Is it like the way they advertise the series 7?

  • It can play music and pictures, but it does not seem to be able to play video unfortunately. Since I have my PC hooked up to the display, this isn't that big of a deal to me, also the PS3 plays videos, pics, and music off thumbdrives, so that's an easier solution. That said, pictures look stunning on this display because of the 1080p resolution, and the interface is quite nice.

  • Nice unboxing video and TV "Thumbs ups".

  • I am getting ready to buy a 46" LN46A650 in about a week or so. Is there any buying tips I need to know about? By the way Kevin...I liked your video. It give me a little excitment knowing that I will be doing to same thing soon. Thanks for letting us share your experience.

  • The only thing that bugs me about this series is that (at least on the 32 inch) it does not allow you to control the volume of audio if you are using external speakers connected to composite with the remote. You must use your speakers to control the volume. Other than this, the TV is amazing, and the remote is quite nice too. The extra resolution really makes a huge difference to me, while most reviews say it's not worth the extra price at 32 inches I disagree. Thanks for the compliment!

  • nice tv.i have the 40 inch,it is the best tv i had.i love my sammy.

  • Yeah, I would have gotten a bigger one but as you can see, the 32 inch is already a bit too big for my desk arrangement. I really do love it though, it's a great set.

  • Got my 550 yesterday :) Now I need to find a suitable desk mount for it as im using it for my pc and it sits too low and no tilt am suck :) heh

Trying to figure out if it supports VESA and what mm i need :( any ideas?

  • ;) cool, im hopefully picking up the 550 model of this tomorrow :D

  • It's a great TV, and the 550 has the same panel. Only difference is the glossy coating on the 650, extra HDMI port, ethernet connection, and the red coloring. I almost went for the 550, but I like glossy screens so I spend the extra money on the 650. Hope you enjoy your new TV man! Take care.
