I'm no expert but there are so many variables for guitar tone: First of all the guitar definitely does make a difference (type of wood, pickups, brand and size of strings etc.) sound processing equipment and how there set. The amps (tube or non tube) and cabinets (brand, open back closed back, size etc.). How you play makes a difference as well. From what I understand even the cables can make a difference.
What is that model?! know its a fender. Love the natural finish and the black hardware etc :) i can only find a Cort Hiram signature guitar that looks sort of like that
with good playing, a lot of experience and great gear, where the first two are a necessity and prerequisite, while the third one is a bonus. It without the first two is like a ferrari in the hands of a kid...

Where was the perfect rock tone?? I wasn't able to hear it in this video? All I heard was some undefinate fuzzy excuse for a tone.
