If there is a pig in a minecart with a saddle and a player riding it and it is on accelerator rails it is faster than your contraption here. Minecraft wiki states that ridding a saddled pig in a minecart on accelerator rails is faster than a minecart on accelerator rails.

In 1.8.1, sprinting in a 2 high space on trapdoors which are above ice is the fastest. The trapdoors make a big difference! But since we're in 1.0, this is the fastest.

@minecraftmosters Your problem is the public server. This method of traveling works only in SP or on super fast server. You can play with the timing, but then you lose speed.
