The general impressions that I am getting from Desteni is that while alive it's good to be humanitarian and care about life etc. but with death will come the SELF realization. Maybe life and death are so separate for a reason. What if the philosophies of the dead are not meant to be applied to the philosophies of the living?

Desteni clearly says that self-realization is only to be done in the physical - developing self-honesty and applying self-forgiveness in THIS life - together with common sense living in a way that supports all life
