@islandmamma I agree with you, the one thing all gerbils LOVe to do most is dig! It's there natural instinct to dig. Only thing I'd say is removed that spring as they have already done.
Do you use dirt from outside? If so I strongly recomend you don't! Like dogs gerbils can get pin worms, (nasty little buggers) witch can make gerbils bottoms to itch and in some cases destroy the gerbils insides! I recomend soft beding no shavings and definetly no slinkeys! Add more toys they look unhappy!
dude kinda weird but I'm upgrading my gerbils to a cage that is an actual fridge (the fridge doesn't work) and I'll make a vid about it. so keep a look out on my channel for vids on.........
unique... i agree with sheepiegerbils; you can't really use a spring for much and if you don't know how to care for them, then forget it!
i have a gerbil care video out ;) if you want to know how to care for them. i'm not spamming, i'm just trying to make you a better owner. its just basic stuff!
that aquarium looks quite cramped. I strongly suggest you re-design it and add some more toys and take the toilet paper away. Gerbils need space and things to play with. Also remove the spring.
That metal string is a very dangerous object for gerbils, you really should remove it. They might hurt them selves while playing/ investigating the terrarium. Bad for their tiny feet.
love it :) i have my gerbils in one too

There is nothing wrong with this habitat. Gerbils should have tons of space to dig. They love it, they make tunnels and hide things.

P.S. I wouldn't give them toilet paper either.

just looks like you throw a garbage bin and stones inside there to burry the poor thing alive , re-arrange it all , put a wheel in and stairs etc
