This vid was shot sometime in the latter part of the decade - guessing around 1987. According to wikipedia, inline skates were patented in 1953, and they started to get popular in the 1980s.
I was experiments with stuff I had, and found the inline wheels worked well because they would track straight when I applied pressure, but they'd give a good controlled slide to the side when I unweighted. It ended up feeling like riding a snowboard.

i know about the history of inlines.
i was just thinking for you to get your hands on inline wheels it would more likely to be late 80's.
