  • How long does the gulf fritillary stay as a chrysalid before it emerges as a butterfly? I have one that just pupated yesterday and wondered how long it will be that way. Thanks :-)

  • Usually 10-14 days, depending upon the temperature. Warmer temps help speed the bugs along a little, but avoid exposing them to direct sunlight or heat lamps and let the air temperature do the work.. Good luck! :-)
