Nice interview. They're supposed to appear again together in Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Los Angeles. I'm actually considering taking a trip across country to see that.
What a lovely interview! Will Diana Damrau sing in the same production of "La Fille du Régiment" as Natalie Dessay nowadays?! This production and the staging concept by Laurent Pelly was "exclusively" made for Natalie and I'm not quite sure if Diana would fit in this concept, because her acting/stature is very different from Natalie's; although I think, that this role - concerning the singing- would be no problem at all for her. I wish that there will be a new production for her!!!
I loved when the interviewer said something about appearance and in the slideshow there was this to-drool-over photo of Florez :D
I`m a bit confused... "Queen of the high-Gs''?! There`s no G6 in 'Die Zauberflote'!

@Transoxiana94 Ah, but she used to sing high Gs too, in Salieri and Strauss too :)

Why does the interviewer constantly mispronounce Florez's last name? The accent is on the FIRST syllable, not the second.

@saagua1953 Could be worse... I particularly hate it when they pronounce it 'Flores'.

I'm not sure either, but I'll try to sort that out :)

And the dialogue may have to be shortened because Natalie is French, but Diana is not.

Diana speaks French, actually, so although it may be a bit more difficult for her to learn the dialogs, it is possible not to shorten them.
