Talent!? This mysterious entity doesn't exist. Stick Mozart on in an urban street corner and kids run away in droves. Heavy metal in an O.A.P's home will have everyone complaining. REAL opera buffs find Divo's 'popera' schtick laughable. Would in fact consider them 'talentless' against real opera singers. It's Culture, Background, Age and Education that make us believe what we like is 'talent' and others like 'dross'. Bieber has as much right to be seen as having 'talent' as these 4.

The point isn't that Justing Bieber has (or hasn't) got talent, the point is that it's arbitrary to make that descision based on personal cultural upbringing etc. I sing semi-professionally in a Barbershop quartet and I can tell you that none of these guys have the purity of tone, the conviction, the "talent" to sing in that format, they only sound this good because they have a full orchestra behind them. This doesn't mean that they don't have "talent", it's a DIFFERENT talent.

Im 14, and i LOVE these guys, Il Devo, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, all the good music. Todays music isnt the same. I miss the days when you needed TALENT to sing, nowa days, we have Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black, thats not talent. Bring back the old days!
