this is exactly what I'm doing with my Honda CB500 engine, the only problem is the ignition. I cant seem to get around the ECU. ANy advice would be very appreciated!
dude im also doing this with a honda cm250 engine and whatever you do, do not cut the wires untill you are SHURE you dont need them if it looks important it probably is
When going with a motorcycle engine instead of a go kart engine, what is needed in the way of the ignition? I was figuring coils, but what else? Thanks,
basically you need the whole wiring harness from the motorcycle, then you just cut off the things you do not need. diagnostic ports, gauge plugs, headlights etc.
he bought some kind of hydraulic handle from a tractor store, and and used some round bar all the way to the transmission. the clutch is a foot pedal. it all works really well.

You would need the ignition module, "the brain"

how long did it take you my friend crashed his cbr600 and wants to do something like this how did you make the shifter since the bike is a pedal.
