This is such an epic part of the movie. Seriously. First time you REALLY see the Aliens, and for once it does them justice. Aliens are the perfect hunters and complete bad asses, but they always just make them stupid so that the Predator can look cool. It's annoying. Actually the fact stays that predator would always win in a 1v1 against alien . I dare say this because if both alien and predator is in top shape( with all its high tech weps with him ) there is absolutely no chance for an alien to win . I think whoever came up with the script to AvP never read the original comic. The Aliens were supposed to be considered the lowest form of prey, something they used to train new Hunters. If you were a Predator, even a trainee, and you got killed by an Alien, your name was usually spoken with ridicule. The Predators were even supposed to be able to kill an Alien in hand to hand without a problem

Elit or high ranked predators were able to kill aliens in hand to hand/tail combat but youngbloods get a higher rank named blooded when they kill their first prey and marks themselfes with its blood.Xenomorphs were powerful enemies and if some of them like these drones were weak compared to even the humans a warrior could easily kill a youngblood.This predator was not weak he only walked into a trap.

2.Wolf was a veteran ranked warrior(one of the highest) he survived many wars so that's why only the Predalien had the power to fight with him in a fair fight.

@brothercartman Nah, it was a good effort at a movie, they just made some poor calls in how to do it. If they'd gotten to the action faster and added anouther predator or two the movie could have remained largely the same but be vastly improved. At least they put real effort into working out how and why everything was happened.
@timemonkey And a different director, different composer, different actors, not using lion sounds for both the Aliens and Predators and if the Predators didn't look like shit. If they had done all those things differently, I would probably be more appreciative about it lol.
@brothercartman Most of the actors were fine. I don't actually remember the soundtrack so you might have a point there. They just wasted waaaay too much of the movie trying to mimic the build up of the original Alien that they only had half a movie left to do the thing people actually came to see.
That last Predator face-to-noface with the Alien scene was the only good part of this awful movie in my opinion. Didn't think they could make it worse than that.
Then Requiem came out, and my crotch promptly shriveled up and died.
I must say, I prefer Aliens. Why? Their biology is so clever and brilliant, so orginal, the inventors of these creatures are genus. Though people say things like "Predators are still stronger, then Aliens" this is because most of the time a Predator will fight a drone, not a Warrior or Elite. Furthermore, they usually fight new-born Xenos, so leave a Alien of 7 years old against a full grown Predator then that's a interesting fight.
This movie whas an average movie. Okay story, very nice Alien vs Predator vs human action, the actors where average some of them where even good. But the dialoges were kinda b-movie type. Its an average movie and i like it! :D
A friend asked me once if you were locked in a room with either a Predator, Alien or Facehugger which would it be? -.- A Predator of course because they won't kill you as soon as you entered the room, as long as your not holding a gun.
Yes, worst dissaster ever. I would personally Burke the director and all the fans of this - complete lack of acting, story and for destroying the best theme ever. I hope the director will get xenomorphed for this fail.

One of the many mistakes this film made was portraying Xenos as actually having a chance against a Predator in a one on one fight. If you have actually payed attention while watching both the Alien movies and the Predator movies, then you would easily be able to see that Xenos do not have the strength or intelligence to take on a Predator on a one on one fight. The only chance a Xeno has a on a Predator is to swarm

When you think about it, this movie was more in honour for predators. I mean the aliens pwned both of the predators and they were on there own. Really 1 alien shouldn't be able to take out a predator (except for alien queen or maybe predalien depending on what predator your talking about). This movie was made by an alien fanboy.
Predator is much more supierior. In avp requim the main predator kills like 50 aliens and sacrifices himself in honor killing the predalien. And in aliens the only reason they killed mostly all the marines is because there was a whole hive of aliens and like 10 marines, thats not even a close fight. So suck one aliens!!!!

And elder preds casully kill xenos with no armor or weapons as a way to keep from getting bored. They ain t nothing like humans since a fully adult male in peak physical condidtion like arnie couldnt even stand up to a teenage Pred on even terms.

Young bloods are about equal with a Xeno as seen in the film AVP (Celtic vs Grid) but Veterans are much stronger than Xenos and Young bloods and are capable of killing six Xenos all at once with nothing but a combi stick and have also killed Xeno morph Queens with their wrist blades then their are Elders who are weaker because of their extreme age
@bmx2930 veterans are stronger because they are fully grown while young bloods are teenager's and elders have reached old age. Watch this film again Celtic out muscled Grid for most of their fight. Veterans have and regularly kill xenos with nothing but their hands to prove their skill and strength to Elders. Now Gardians ( the next stage in evolution for a Warrior Xeno) are stronger than Veterans and are capable of killing them in one v one but the Vet's Skill and experience has allowed them -

@bmx2930 Thats just the way Xenomorphs work they infect a species then take the traits that would best help them to suvive such as when a Face hugger takes a human host they become five times stronger than a human, gain two feet in hight (average human hight is six feet, Xenos gain two extra feet making them eight feet tall on average well their warriors anyway) and are ability to adapt quickly to new enviroments. With animals such as dogs, live stock, ect... you get runners they smaller and

Then Pred-aliens are the most dangerous breed of xenomorph (aside from a queen) and are twice as stronger as a Predator warrior well it depends on the warrior either a Yatja (first and second predator films) or a Hish ( third predator film Hish are bigger and stronger than Yatja and they even hunt the smaller-
@GrimmRebellion The Black Clan in Predators are NOT Hish, the Hish are a non-canon caste from a group of Novels. They are a Clan of Bad Bloods who have altered their genetic makeup using captured dna. they do not have Kill Glands ergo they are not Hish. in fact the Hish were based on in apearance - the Clan from AvP, being bigger and of more muscular physique, being bigger does not make them Hish. The Dark Blade Clan are all noted for being exceptionally big even in Predator terms.
@paranoidzombie I called them Hish becuase they fit the discription pretty well and I looked up the film and the writers sometimes referred to the "Super Black Predators" as Hish and called them a different ethic group of Preds who are bigger stronger and more berserk. Do more research.

And the tech thing has beeen done a scientist fitted xenomorphs with pred tech and used then to attack a Pred clan The Xenos out numbered -

The Preds proved that simply having their tech didn't mean instant win They have more experience and technical know-how when it came to their on weapons and knew how to disable them quickly. The preds gave even taken down Super aliens who are the size of three storie buildings. There were two of them it took an enitre clan(around twelve to twenty Preds to kill one and two Elders to kill the other.

These 3 predators were young and untested in life or death combat. It's no wonder that two of them were killed relatively easily, the third one (scar) probably had his guard up after realising chopper and celtic were dead and was able to survive most of the movie. In the second film its pretty fair to say that Wolf was an extremely experienced predator, Chopper and Celtic just wern't able to keep up.

@Sandshoe218 In fisfight maybe. But aliens are still animals, albeit with a kind of hivemind, while predators are probably the most advanced species in the galaxy. The only reason Predators hunt with primordial weapons (mostly) is because of ritualistic reasons - they must prove that they are still strong without their technology, that they aren't a shame to their precursors.
@WTFNoobProductions the thing is the Aliens wiped out those colonal marines in vast numbers and they took them by suprise due to the marines lack of common sense to stay away from the walls, the predator in no.1 had a very big ego/dramatic killing instinct which lead to his undoing. no.2 gets killed in mortal combat by his own smart disk not by human weaponry ;)
They overpower Aliens in the movies because the Predators will easily pwn them. If you played the most recent game, they actually get the Predators' true power in there.

For all you people complaining about one Xenomorph killing two predators.... deal with it. That's how combat is, you mess up, you die. Chopper wasn't paying attention to his surroundings, and Celtic became careless and cocky. They both deserved what they got. Xenomorphs and Predators are roughly equal in CQC, with the slight advantage going to the Xeno. This is a perfectly acceptable fight in a sub par movie.
What pissed me off most from this scene is when 1 Alien (just a regular drone) kills 2 Young blood predators. 1 alien owning 2 preds...how ridiculous. I honestly hope this franchise gets a reboot...with a better director

Also I think the fans of Predators are the action movie fans, and the fans of the Alien are the cult movie fans. The original Alien film was one of a kind, and the creature from that original film will always be better than the Predator, simply cos it was so fucking creepy. And their life cycle is so much more interesting.
This is why the Aliens are fucking badass. The Predators are good, but I think when AvP began (including the games) the focus was always on them being the top dogs when really the aliens by the admission of the original director were the "perfectly evolved creature". Those things are supposed to be unstoppable, like in this scene.
But AvP sadly turned them into fucking sissies that the Predators kill off in their dozens.

The movie was a pile of bollox but the whole portrayl of the aliens fighting the predators was good.
Of course this will get a reboot at some stage, its pure sci-fi gold.

I must say, I prefer Aliens. Why? Their biology is so clever and brilliant, so orginal, the inventors of these creatures are genus. Though people say things like "Predators are still stronger, then Aliens" this is because most of the time a Predator will fight a drone, not a Warrior or Elite. Furthermore, they usually fight new-born Xenos, so leave a Alien of 7 years old against a full grown Predator then that's a interesting fight.

@KevinBusomjack But that is exactly what Xenomorphs are, they are cannon fodder. One of the many mistakes this film made was portraying Xenos as actually having a chance against a Predator in a one on one fight. If you have actually payed attention while watching both the Alien movies and the Predator movies, then you would easily be able to see that Xenos do not have the strength or intelligence to take on a Predator on a one on one fight. The only chance a Xeno has a on a Predator is to swarm

When you think about it, this movie was more in honour for predators. I mean the aliens pwned both of the predators and they were on there own. Really 1 alien shouldn't be able to take out a predator (except for alien queen or maybe predalien depending on what predator your talking about). This movie was made by an alien fanboy.

Predator is much more supierior. In avp requim the main predator kills like 50 aliens and sacrifices himself in honor killing the predalien. And in aliens the only reason they killed mostly all the marines is because there was a whole hive of aliens and like 10 marines, thats not even a close fight. So suck one aliens!!!!

@bmx2930 Well in the novels and comics some Yatja clans have their Youngbloods or teenagers fight Xenomorphs with nothingg but their bare hands in order to prove their strength and worth. And elder preds casully kill xenos with no armor or weapons as a way to keep from getting bored. They ain t nothing like humans since a fully adult male in peak physical condidtion like arnie couldnt even stand up to a teenage Pred on even terms.

@bmx2930 Yes but the Preds aren't complaing they see it as the Xenos weeding out the weak among their ranks. And preds on average stronger than xenos. Young bloods are about equal with a Xeno as seen in the film AVP (Celtic vs Grid) but Veterans are much stronger than Xenos and Young bloods and are capable of killing six Xenos all at once with nothing but a combi stick and have also killed Xeno morph Queens with their wrist blades then their are Elders who are weaker because of their extreme age

@bmx2930 veterans are stronger because they are fully grown while young bloods are teenager's and elders have reached old age. Watch this film again Celtic out muscled Grid for most of their fight. Veterans have and regularly kill xenos with nothing but their hands to prove their skill and strength to Elders. Now Gardians ( the next stage in evolution for a Warrior Xeno) are stronger than Veterans and are capable of killing them in one v one but the Vet's Skill and experience has allowed them -

@bmx2930 Thats just the way Xenomorphs work they infect a species then take the traits that would best help them to suvive such as when a Face hugger takes a human host they become five times stronger than a human, gain two feet in hight (average human hight is six feet, Xenos gain two extra feet making them eight feet tall on average well their warriors anyway) and are ability to adapt quickly to new enviroments. With animals such as dogs, live stock, ect... you get runners they smaller and

@bmx2930 - Lighter on their feet than drones or warriors and are much faster and because of this speed and agility advantage the xenos use them as scouts to keep track of possible targets. Then Pred-aliens are the most dangerous breed of xenomorph (aside from a queen) and are twice as stronger as a Predator warrior well it depends on the warrior either a Yatja (first and second predator films) or a Hish ( third predator film Hish are bigger and stronger than Yatja and they even hunt the smaller-

@GrimmRebellion The Black Clan in Predators are NOT Hish, the Hish are a non-canon caste from a group of Novels. They are a Clan of Bad Bloods who have altered their genetic makeup using captured dna. they do not have Kill Glands ergo they are not Hish. in fact the Hish were based on in apearance - the Clan from AvP, being bigger and of more muscular physique, being bigger does not make them Hish. The Dark Blade Clan are all noted for being exceptionally big even in Predator terms.

@paranoidzombie I called them Hish becuase they fit the discription pretty well and I looked up the film and the writers sometimes referred to the "Super Black Predators" as Hish and called them a different ethic group of Preds who are bigger stronger and more berserk. Do more research.

Well I agree that Aliens are equal to preds in many ways (combat skill not being among those ways) Xenos have the added advantage of being more savage than the reserved hunter/warrior like Preds. And the tech thing has beeen done a scientist fitted xenomorphs with pred tech and used then to attack a Pred clan The Xenos out numbered -

@bmx2930 - the preds but were still killed and proved no match at all to the clans Predator Elder. The Preds proved that simply having their tech didn't mean instant win They have more experience and technical know-how when it came to their on weapons and knew how to disable them quickly. The preds gave even taken down Super aliens who are the size of three storie buildings. There were two of them it took an enitre clan(around twelve to twenty Preds to kill one and two Elders to kill the other.

These 3 predators were young and untested in life or death combat. It's no wonder that two of them were killed relatively easily, the third one (scar) probably had his guard up after realising chopper and celtic were dead and was able to survive most of the movie. In the second film its pretty fair to say that Wolf was an extremely experienced predator, Chopper and Celtic just wern't able to keep up.

@Sandshoe218 In fisfight maybe. But aliens are still animals, albeit with a kind of hivemind, while predators are probably the most advanced species in the galaxy. The only reason Predators hunt with primordial weapons (mostly) is because of ritualistic reasons - they must prove that they are still strong without their technology, that they aren't a shame to their precursors.

For all you people complaining about one Xenomorph killing two predators.... deal with it. That's how combat is, you mess up, you die. Chopper wasn't paying attention to his surroundings, and Celtic became careless and cocky. They both deserved what they got. Xenomorphs and Predators are roughly equal in CQC, with the slight advantage going to the Xeno. This is a perfectly acceptable fight in a sub par movie.

Also I think the fans of Predators are the action movie fans, and the fans of the Alien are the cult movie fans. The original Alien film was one of a kind, and the creature from that original film will always be better than the Predator, simply cos it was so fucking creepy. And their life cycle is so much more interesting.

This is why the Aliens are fucking badass. The Predators are good, but I think when AvP began (including the games) the focus was always on them being the top dogs when really the aliens by the admission of the original director were the "perfectly evolved creature". Those things are supposed to be unstoppable, like in this scene.
But AvP sadly turned them into fucking sissies that the Predators kill off in their dozens.
