  • She was so good. Great job! :)

  • Ill be going to states in February I'm so excited

  • Thats so weirs you have the same last name as my drama teacher

  • She is amazing! I'm thinking of doing these monologues in an audition now!

  • Could you post your 2nd monologue through here? I REALLY want to use it for my audition, and I can't find it ANYWHERE. I tried writing it down from what I've heard, but I don't know if it's all right.

  • The Reasons to be Pretty monologue is not in the Dramatists version because the monologues were cut from the show....Its in the FSG Books version...

  • I have looked through the reasons to be pretty book for an hour and I can't find this monologue! does anyone know what scene its from?

  • Amazing. Absolutely amazing.

  • that's hilarious. your really talented

  • where can i find the monologue from Speech and Debate?

  • @TheDramastuff I would assume in A Speech and Debate script...

other than that, I'm not sure.

  • Are there multiple versions of Reasons to be Pretty? I just finished reading it and I did not see that monologue anywhere. Reasons to be Pretty by Neil LaBute? Dramatists Play Service?

  • @mccplaymakers I have looked through my copy for an hour ( i have already read it) and I can't find this monologue ANYWHERE! ( or steph's monologue about "my boyfriend said my face is just okay" or something like that) did you find it? Or know where I could find it?

    THANKS!

PS- I have the Dramatists Play Service INC. version!

  • @lovemuch55 You definitely deserved the superiors!!! Congrats again!

  • You're amazing! You did a really great job! No wonder you got superiors!!! I'm guessing the one thing the judges didn't like was the almost no blocking in the first one?

  • @mccplaymakers Actually, my friend is the one who did these monologues. I believe the judges didn't mind the "lack of blocking". It added to the contrast of the monologues.

  • @mccplaymakers Hi! I'm the one who did these monologues! :) Thank you so much. and nope! the judges actually enjoyed that i had almost no movement in the first piece since the second was very movement-heavy/"choreographed.
