I've added this to my favorites bar! THANK YOU for making a POSITIVE adoption ad! This type of ad makes me feel good, makes me WANT to donate toward a happy ending! Don't show me animals in bandages, those looking sadly from their cages, all the while playing sad music! When I hear those, I mute or change the channel, Show me that bandaged cat in it's forever home, interacting with the new family. Show me a dog, who came in so badly injured that a leg had to be amputated, running around!

These are the types of shelter ads that should be aired on TV! We all know about shelter animals and euthanasia rates. Don't replay the same sad footage and music and expect me to donate or adopt. It only discourages me. Enough already. Show me the awesome babies in their new surroundings! Let me share in their joy! Encourage me to donate and adopt! Make me feel good about becoming part of the solution!

On a happy note. This cat is AWESOME! I love the "poop already!". And yes. Most shelter cats are happy. Because they don't fret over stupid things like humans do. If they aren't fighting to breed or survive, or getting abused, they are happy. But adoption in a loving home puts that happiness up to 11. :)

Pet shelter commercials like this and the other recent ones will definitely get more positive attention/reaction from the audience. It's a happy funny message that focuses on positive outcomes rather than depressing commercials that focus on the negative consequences. TSPP really needs more of these!

@skybounddragon You are so right about the happy, funny message. I try to watch the sad, depressing ones once. I end up in tears and turn it off after 30 or so seconds. Now when they come on, I change the channel. I figure a lot of viewers do the same. I've watched this sandbox one several times, and laugh every time. As far as I'm concerned, they are preaching to the choir, but there are so many out there who need to hear the message.

This reminds me of when I went to the animal shelter in my home town and entered one of the cat rooms. Man they were so friendly. I think about ten of the ran up to me and one manage to climb up onto my shoulder and nuzzle my face. Wish I could have taken one of them home.

This ad is more realistic despite the talking cat. The pets at shelters arent super sad! They are all happy to see you! They want to be taken home. This is just pure funny. Shelter animal ads dont have to be serious to grab the attention of the public... I actually think this works better.

Their sleeping quarters are even bigger than a large breed dog crate! I have not met a mean cat there. When I went to look for my cat, which I later adopted, she would not stop rubbing all over us, I had a tough time trying to decide between the cats there because they are all very sweet. We almost went home with 3! But I could only choose 1 :(
