Let,s explane what i just said before..i mean the sound you play at 5.47 min.(George Smit)a 3 draw bend with a lot of vibrato, the sound i hear?,is that only because you move youre hand or is it pure how you suck/blow and bend the tone?
Because thats one of the technics i,m try to learn..such as a "cough" at the end..? thanks for posting youre video.s!!!
Cool men!now i know why i sometimes can,t "find" some technics i try to play from cd!!I got a green bullet but no amp and no band..so how can i learn this technics at home??btw with a amp,its sounds too loud, the neighbours will cry...
Get a headset, most amps (I use MicroCube) have a jack for it. That way the amplified sound doesn't get too loud for your neighbours. A good small guitar combo should work pretty good and the green bullet gives a great sound from the harp.
Good lessons! I am also a harp player in the Netherlands. I hav many problems with the feedback bij playing with distortion or with the mike that you used. Do you have a good idea for eleminated the feedback?
this is in response to the netherland feedback question... Get rid of the 12ax7 tubes in the preamp stage and put in low gain tubes like au7 ... that will solve your problems with feedback..
It is cats like you that make this stuff ( you tube ) have value and worth. Great instruction on mic technique... thanked you already .. had to again...
awesome video. i agree with the person above me- as a harmonica player, i thank you. i am not worthy to be in your presence, for truly, this video is otherworldly.
Excellent job Ryan! I'll be working on the new things I learned, truly some I didn't know, and checking out one of your live shows -- I'm in Eastern Mass.
This was great. ... simple, to the point, but informative - and very hard to find on the web.
Please check out my two videos and give me some pointers... these are from my first experience playing in front of a live audience at a friends wedding.
Ryan thanks very generous sharing . Excellent tutorial skills for amped harp. I'd like to see what you'd present if you showed the acoustic 'hand' techniques? I got a few that may interest you, however you seem to have it pretty much wrapped up. Good on you. p.s: Hey do one on yer' gear...what amp are you using and who hot-rodded that mike. I've meet Lynwood a few times down here too..north east coast of Australia. www.thestiffies.com.au [Billy James]

It's all of those at once. There's vibrato, the the 3 draw bent an hand wah all contribute to that sound.
