all people need to remember is, that as it was stated, Ben john and rocky were evanescence, they were the band who made the music from the start. so whatever they do from there cant be wrong and it is great they came back together to continue it, and found one hell of a singer to go along with it. end of story

Its great that all three are making music again they are great musicians and very talented but they are not evanescence and have no claim on that name anymore. She can't sue them. Any band is allowed to play any other band's music live as long as that isn't the focal point of the performance when there is monetary gain. It falls under a fair usage act under federal law. Like they couldn't hold a show of nothing but Evanescense songs or promote the show by saying "Hey we're gonna play a bunch of Evanescense songs." Like back when Ozzy played Sabbath songs live with his band before he mended things with Iommi.

Evanescence is only Amy now... I don't know why all you guys are hating. Now we got 2 bands that will put out good music. And people who say she's copying Amy Lee... You guys ever heard of Nightwish, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil? It's the same thing. They all have similar type of music. Lead singer who can hit a range of notes. Chillax and enjoy both bands. IMO Fallen > Open Door. So this band suits my liking much better.

I'm all for giving these guys a chance, but I just get the feeling they are not going to try and be anything more than an Evanescence clone. She even dresses like Amy Lee for God's sake! If they can come out with original songs that shows they have great ability to write music... great! If they keep churning out Evanescence rip-offs all the time then they won't go far. At the very least this band may make Evanescence release their new album sooner.

Im so sick of people comparing Amy and Carly. Sick of hearing people comparing the two bands. They are both completely different. Carly can sing live, Amy can not. Amy is an amazing artist, and song writer. However she booted everyone from the band and wanted new. Don't down any of them. Both bands are awesome, and both girls can sing like no tomorrow. Amy has just made my ears bleed live one too many times. Carly has not. We all have our own opinions, and I just gave mine.

She can't sue them. Any band is allowed to play any other band's music live as long as that isn't the focal point of the performance when there is monetary gain. It falls under a fair usage act under federal law. Like they couldn't hold a show of nothing but Evanescense songs or promote the show by saying "Hey we're gonna play a bunch of Evanescense songs." Like back when Ozzy played Sabbath songs live with his band before he mended things with Iommi.

When I said it will be the second album the fans always wanted... that's because "The Open Door" was a huge let down for a lot of fans, after such an awesome debut album... Hopefully this will return to the style that Ben Moody helped write for the first album.
