im a huge bulls fan man and this isint right at all... after jordan left and the bulls were dismantled i stoped watching the NBA just playoffs really.... but what i remember growing up was kemp and the glove making their place in history i remember them swarming to hakeem in the playoffs im going to miss this team and i would be going for them against dallas but not the oaklahoma thunda? that just sounds like a poor choice for a soda

I've been a Laker fan since I was a kid, and I'm in my 20s now. But when the Seattle lost their team, it felt like a blow to my stomach, too. It feels weird not to see the Sonics in the NBA now. They were truly a historic team. The 41 years of being in the league really show it. I miss the days when the Sonics would have great games against the Lakers when they had Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, Detlef Schrempf, Hersey Hawkins, those guys. I feel for the Seattle fans, and I miss the Sonics, also.

Thanks for the video. I supported the seattle sonics since the 90's. What a team they had back then.. Kemp, Payton, Det, coach karl and co.. they were so exciting to watch and used to beat teams by 30-40 points day in and day out..

Been a Blazer fan for over 30 years, never even contemplated that the Sonics would cease to exist. I always hated them in the best possible way. Loved to watch these two teams match up. I'm sad for the loss, of a respected opponent, of a beloved franchise, of a piece of history.

It's nice to read the comments from fans of other NBA teams sending out their love to the former Sonics. I was a die-hard Sonics fan since I was about 10. I'm 30 now and it still feels like a punch in the stomach not to have a team. I have nothing against anyone from Oklahoma. You wanted and got a team. It's just too bad it was Seattle's and now all the history is gone. I didn't watch one second of the NBA this season. I am done until we get another team or David Stern steps down.

It's hard to watch the NBA nowadays knowing that the sonics relocated to Oklahoma, I'm only 21 yrs. old and I've been watching the NBA since I was 9 and I rooted for the bulls to beat the sonics in 96 finals but now I missed the team MJ and the bulls defeated... I just hope the Sonics return to where it truly belongs, Seattle, not Oklahoma... From a MJ fan...

The old owner of the team, Howard Schultz, sold the team to Clay Bennett after he failed to get Seattle to pay for a new Arena, after they had already broken the bank with 2 Arenas for other sports teams. Clay said he had no intention of moving the team, but two years later he announced that he was moving it. As it turns out he had never actually planned to keep it in Seattle, and he was just waiting for the lease on KeyArena to expire. Stern let him do it because he loves money.

no offense, but all u have is the blazers. remember?...we almost lost the mariners, but got them to stick around, and then the same thing happened with the seahawks. so when the drama started with the sonics, we all thought "no, were 2 for 2. weve seen this happen before. they aint goin nowhere." so i guess u could say we were kinda spoiled, and didnt see the severity of the threat until it was too late. so no u dont love the blazers anymore then we love the sonics. we were just spoiled
