  • Simply put - - - cold blooded, and what idiot said the piano solo was nothing? That was one of the best parts.

  • fire the pianist.

  • Comment removed

  • piano solo didn't say anything to me... technically, the guy is insane! just didn't fit in my opinion.... Wynton or Wess didn't loook they were diggin it either

  • wyntons solo at the end just remind me of african spiritual singing

  • como lo bordan todos... genial!!

  • Man, Lewis's solo goes absolutely nowhere; I bet that's why they left this one off the album. The others sound great, though, Marsalis in particular. And "Live at the House of Tribes" is a fantastic album; check it out if you haven't already.

  • @BuddyBolden It could just be that he's so quiet in this recording, the audience members are louder than him...

  • @BuddyBolden listen again man, ELEW's solo is different, but it has harmonic direction. Nice try.

  • what a wonderful moment ! merci beaucoup ! frissons garantis.

  • sick

  • Chops!

  • Performances like both parts of this make me laugh because that's it's just way too good. It makes we want to shout out with joy!

  • esse wilton é cavalo demais... que som de RABECA esse cara ta fazendo...

  • Wynton is a master.

  • GRAZIE.

  • Masakra :]

  • House of Tribes: does there exist an official recording of this (high quality)? I would like to get this recording please!

  • Boy, this kinda stuff loses nothing to the "good ole days" when Jazz was fresh. Wynton and the entire band -- not to mention the audience -- put it together to give us fresh, one-of-a-kind, perfect-in-itself personal expression, via music, that is where all (?) music and other expression should be. Bravi!! What a joy. Thanks, also, to Houseoftribes.

  • lovely tune part 1 and 2 thank you Houseoftribes.

  • il pianista é di un'altro mondo. Extragalattico.

  • half valve is awesome!!

  • eric lewis is unconscious! ridiculously good shit...

  • 4:45, he vibrattos trippelets within eightnotes! thats some serious hand control! this whole song, all the solos, its just awesome!!! oh i love this music so much!

  • What is the name of the song at the closing titles? It's a real famous tune, but what is the name?

    Regards,

    Puder

  • hi, the song at the closing titles is called

''2nd line'' from the house of tribes album.

  • Any other versions of it other than the H.O.T. one? Something on YouTube?

    Thanks,

    Puder

  • Wynton Marsalis is awesome. His trumpet playing here is so unique and original. I love it. Even the crowd are up for it. I need to see this guy live. Glasgow or UK gig, I'll be there

  • Pianista mostruoso!!!

  • Wynton´s playing is like, if you don´t know where you come from, you don´t know where you stand and than you just don´t know where you goin´.....lead the way...

  • Eric "Prof" Lewis going to work.....

  • By the way, who's the pianist? I would love to listen more of his stuff.

  • I love every second of it. Absolutely delicious!!!

  • Where was this performed? What a great gig!
