  • Awesome E.Street band!!

Nils 's brought a lot to this band...No offence, but I prefer his voice to Steve's.

  • BIG MAN LIVES ON !!THANK YOU CLARENCE FOR THE PLEASURE YOU GAVE ME AND COUNTLESS OTHERS GOOD NIGHT SLEEP TIGHT BROTHER WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!!!

  • r.i.p big man

  • rip big man playing with all the other legends in heaven god bless you sleep tight

  • @schmerikful NO WAY. Nebraska is legendary because of the way it was recorded. Bruce is 100% correct in believing the songs had more conviction without the E Street band.

  • So long Big Man, maybe everything that dies one day comes back.

  • @scottalias what the hell are you saying? Big man never left us!

  • @toureyaya24 you know, the last thing the Big Man would want is to know he made us sad..so he lives on and always makes us smile

  • @schmerikful I like both. but the original version has a sort of sadness and rawness that this version lacks. I think Nebraska is a great album and was perfect the way it was released.

  • WOW

  • not many singers sound better live than in the booth

  • What a hunk

  • yeah a young max!!

  • great drumming of max ;-)

  • @Ripkin1020

Nils is Way better if you ask me...

  • @ducie342 nah steve is the coolest in the band in my opinion

  • A moving, haunting song about The Mob, corruption, poverty, and violence.

Only the Poet Laureate of New Jersey could pull this off.

I bet when The Chicken Man was being blown to bits

he never figured Bruce would immortalize him.

I wonder if they ever found all the pieces of that poultry guy?

The feathers are probably still floating around somewhere.

  • I think about 48,944 of the views of this video are mine.

  • Happy Birthday at 61!! Only one day late, but meant sincerely!

  • I love these Paris 85 videos and owe a debt of gratitude first to mrchappelow3 for posting such great pro-shot videos here for us to enjoy. Personally, I love Nils' work!

  • Nils Lofgren couldn't have been a better pick for Springsteen's band-- the man trained classically on piano and the accordion for over a decade before leaving & adding guitar also with Neil Young; Nils' harmonies are great, and since Bruce keeps a drug-free set Nils was the perfect fit. These from Paris 85 videos show him playing more; even lead. Steve Van Zandt is nowhere NEAR the caliber of musician as Nils is.

  • Une des chansons phare de l'album "Nebraska" de 1982 : un must !

  • Twenty Five Years To The Day And This Still Rules. I Wasn't Even Alive Yet. This Is Some Real Music Right Here.

  • Absolutly perfect!

  • The young Max Weinberg :D

  • nils was in his 30s here but he looks like a kid

  • Looks Like He Did Go To Paris And They Know Every Word.

  • @Tigerpuffer not by a long shot

  • @PM531: Ah, for some reason when I commented I thought Nebraska came before BITUSA.

  • @Tigerpuffer it did

  • @Tigerpuffer it did

  • Did this Philly/Jersey shtick really go over in Paris?

  • I think you got that right...especially since the French cant stand Americans!

They're still carrying that cross of never letting us live it down! When they asked us for help when the Germans where invading France during World War II we said no, but agreed to join forces with Britain...but they fail to realize Hitler declared war on us too!

  • Thank you. :)

  • No Thanks required...A fact is a fact!

  • Funny thing is... I was at all the shows in Philly during 1984 and 1985 and he did not mention this here! Why would he even bother in Paris as if they could give a shit!

  • probably cause in philly they could understand the context of the song without the disclaimer. i'm sure people in philly had heard of the chicken man for instance.

  • I think U R misunderstanding the context of our comments...and that is Paris does not care about the explanation or the meaning behind this song!

  • @mayamgk0220 cause they don't know what the song means, you do.

  • Needs mor cowebell

  • Classic footage,Nice one.

  • one word.. legend

  • The power and rawness.... goosebumps.... sheer goosebumps

  • my favorite Bruce's song... great version!

  • in houston back in februrary I saw him and this song (along with most of the the others) was great with the croud and just the power from the stage was amazing

  • the boss is the gr8est.

  • thank u mrchappelow3 for the upload .... amazin quality and performance

  • Its Amazing!

  • damnn STEVE VAN ZANT SO YOUNG HERE WOW FORGOT HOW LONG AND HOW TIME FLYZZ

  • You do know that Van Zandt isn't in this video and had left the band before this tour. You are probably confusing him with Nils Lofgren who replaced Steve after he left.

  • @Ripkin1020 WWOOH NILS

  • @shakerazz46 thats not steve. that's nils lofgren

  • do you like his music or want to argue instead? you're screwed

  • Bootleg audio, please?

    best live version ive seen

  • love nils

  • AMAZING<3

  • Hey man,I love New Jersey.

Why would anyone want to live anywhere else?

    Onward and upward bogusboy411 !

  • Yeah.... he's beltin' it out!! That's The Boss, for sure!!! Radio Nowhere is released, today.......

  • G.R.E.A.T.

  • Bruce Sings for the people. Better than all the singers that sing always about love. A bit boring. That's why I love The Boss!!!! He's GREAT!!!

  • you know nothing

  • I know your elementary school teacher and she says you're an idiot who cannot spell ...

  • you're funny

  • hahahahahaha u make me laugh....come try to live in jersey n u will understand..til then suck my dick

  • i wouldnt pay u...people in the state of nj love it here...sure its a wasteland but thats not how we look at jersey....we look at it at a different way so ddo me a fav go cut ur dick off and shove it up ur ass and kiss new jerseians ass..we love it n always will n nothing can change that

  • Your posts seem to be oriented towards dicks, asses, New Jersey, and Bruce Springsteen. Coincidence? I think not.

  • all im saying is that u aint tough enough to live in jersey so stfu

  • I'm sorry, I love the Boss, but there should NOT be a synthesizer in Atlantic City.

  • werd.

  • Awesome. Pretty much sounds the same now as it did then :)
