@WoodChucker81 Nice, Now do you use them for heavy work? I don't know but I heard that it isn't good to use ported saws for very heavy work but I don't understand how that could be possible? I do extreme work and I don't have a ported saw and people say it's bad to do, do you have an opinion on that?
@iwasborntohunt357 Any ported saw will have a shorter life span than of a stock saw. But if if the saw is ported properly, doesn't run too lean, and is limited to a "woods port", you'll have a good strong running saw for many years of daily use.
@WoodChucker81 Thanks for the info, I'm not gonna port my saw though mine works just fine for the ammount of very heavy work I do, Thanks and be safe!
@iwasborntohunt357 It's fun though. If you ever do it, plan on being addicted, lol. :)
No problem on the info. Check out some of my latest vids with the title "Maine GTG" on the vids - look for the 372xpw and Solo 681 vids. Now those saws are monsters. :D
Who ported those saws? Nice video by the way

They were initially done by DozerDan, but they've been rebuilt since these vids....

Man those are fast saws! What do you think the top RPM is on those things? and I'm guessing P&D stands for Ported and Cleaned, but I'm only guessing.

Husqvarna has 325" chain not 3/8". The word Husqvarna doesn't read all.

@saxovtsit Nonsense! Husqvarna and Jonsered have 3/8" standard,at this size
The smaller 357xp has 325" standard.
