The first rock band I saw live in concert, in 1971. They opened with this great song and blew my eyes ears and mind, in one! The rest of the set was excellent too - but what a way to start out going to see bands
@mahatmacote Wow amazing, wish I were there, I bet the musical High was better than any chemical around! They are fantastic, would have loved to see them in concert, never got to!
The line up for "Lizard" Released 11 December 1970 Robert Fripp - guitar, mellotron, synthesiser, organ and devices Gordon Haskell - bass guitar, vocals Mel Collins - saxophone, flute Andy McCulloch - drums Peter Sinfield - words, VCS3, pictures [edit]Additional musicians Keith Tippett - piano, electric piano Robin Miller - oboe, cor anglais Mark Charig - cornet Nick Evans - trombone Jon Anderson - vocals on "Prince Rupert Awakes"
This song has something catchy with length. Even if i belong to the first King Crimson, the vocal and lyrical is great; what's the singer's name (on this song) ? Is this the only King Crimson album that features this singer ?(Mise a part le chanteur de Yes !)
@Sylvain894 Gordon Haskell. Yes, the only album, on Poseidon - 2nd Crimso album he sang just Cadence And Cascade. A friend of Fripp´s from Bournemouth school

@haileysvomit, They all discovered Guiness and got drunk, fat and old, and ended up in front of the pubs, after hours, peeing in the streets. :-/

Bizarre , beautiful arrangement & lyrics with a cast of players that would've made Fellini or Lynch envious
