She's not out of tune...Her voice has changed a lot, now she has a completely "new" voice and singing style,her voice is now better and better and the singing lessons helped her so much.She sang so great Ghost Love Score and Walking in the air,that no comment...I was against her,but now I must say that she's great.Now I love her voice.I won't compare her to Tarja.She has an unique voice and she's better and better!Congrats Anette!Now you rock!

On the other hand, Annette can't, because Tuomas must use synthetizers to make her voice a little higher

@emil9412 There is a sub-genre in modern singing that is called metal, it adds growls to the usual modern repertoire, for example. (Not "normal" growling, but trained so you don't harm your voice.)

The difference between pop and rock in modern singing, as far as I know, mostly lies in whether you're singing in a pop or a rock band. Hence Anette can not be a pop singer as long as she is in Nightwish, she is currently a rock singer.
