The re-eanactment this year is on Sept. 4 -- biggest one ever. It will feature a procession with the actual casket of Menendez. The casket will be the centerpiece of the new Nombre de Dios which will open on that day,

Work is already underway to make this a major event for Florida's 500th Birthday in 2013 and an even larger, more impressive re-enactment for St. Augustine's 450th birthday in 2015 -- just in case anyone is making some long-range vacation plans.
