I've switched to the GC over the last week and have been bagging choppers even more frequently but I really want to get the AT4 down so I can hit choppers anywhere on the map rather than just ones nearby. Gonna go practice my AT4 now! This vid blows my mind every time I watch it...

This isn't a lost art, you can still do this kinda stuff, I do it regularly. Still works better than the dart since you can surprise them, by the time the rocket hits em its too late :) I love the accusations of hacking, always remember its less likely that they are hacking and more likely you are getting butthurt at the hands of a rocket kung-fu artist.

The single best AT4 video ever. Ravic you are a one man wrecking crew when it comes to taking out choppers, and it makes me glad I'm not a PC player. Question tho, how much do you rely on the orange box, or do you actually follow the rocket itself and just try to lead that to the chopper? I can't shoot down shit with the AT4, I've bagged a few Blackhawks with the RPG-7 but would really like to get better with the AT4. Awesome vids man.

@crowbaaahhh You don't look at the box, try to imagine it isn't there and follow the trajectory of the rocket. It is a steep but very rewarding learning curve! the hardest part is calculating how far away the rocket is from the target so it would be easier to shoot helicopters coming straight toward you at first. Hope this helps!

A good way to start learning distances (at least this is what I did), is fire away from the target, then steer the rocket into it, seeing the rocket approach from a slight angle can help you determine your distances faster. As you get better you can do sneaky stuff, like flying rockets along the ground and bringing them up into the chopper, like he does once or twice here.

I can't aim with this launcher. Frankly, I think it's better to stick with the tracer darts, not only do you get 10 points just for planting the thing, you also get more points if someone else locks on to your dart and hits. As an engineer, I never find myself in situations where a secondary is useful. Also, you don't need to babysit the rocket as it flies to the target. Great video

TL:DR; I feel threatened by the level of skill in this video and need to justify my actions. Still a good video.

@douwethaman If the pilot has VSmoke you're shit outta luck (unless you can tag them when the flares the reloading). I just got tired of trying to steer the rocket into the chopper and missing, and then getting killed by someone else when I could have gotten to cover. I also find that when fighting tanks, I want to be exposed to the thing for the least amount of time possible, and with the RPG I can pop out and shoot it and hide again. The damage difference between the AT4 and RPG isn't much.

in BF3 they should have if i hit a certain part of a helicopter they should be stuck. for example if i hit where the pilot is he shouldn't be able to get out. im tired of wasting time trying to shoot down a helicopter and not getting a kill when i do.

How can i make it alot smaller, WITHOUT getting crappy quality. I have seen a vid wich shows how to shrink it with movie maker, but that quality sucks. Plz help me out..

@JeffreyLiner I use the xvid codec to compress my videos. They often end up anywhere between 10-50x smaller, and the quality is slightly less, but it still looks great. Give it a try!

I can't run Battlefield BC2 in Max Settings and I got a:

Radeon HD 5870, DX 11

i7 2.80 GHz processor.

8 of RAM.

Windows 7.

The game is too good, but I can't run it with this PC and I can't play BC2 on 1280x960 because the image sucks if I do that.

I thought a card that could run Eyefinity could handle a single monitor, but it sucks terribly. I can't even play Shogun 2 Total War without everything looking like the shit of the developers.

so in the end, none is better(they can be all as lethal as a javelin if used well), it highly depends on wich one fits your style and you are better with, and remember, this is just a weapon overview, they can be used however u see fit and be good ( in the right hands the RPG can be a lethal anti-infantry weapon, and the Gustav a effective tank killing tool), they all require skill tough, so choose wisely wich one fits you or you are better with, it can make a small or huge difference

it's not that hard to play like that with at4.it's just you must have 50-60 latency or smth like that.i usually have 180-200.i even knife enemies,the knife animation occurs but they dont die :D.nice gameplay

I really don't have a clue when the missile is near the chopper. Sometimes I make the missile go up/down while its already passed the chopper or in front of the chopper. :/ I want your skills! ^^
