The way I see it, if a developer can't take their franchise forward, then the game is already dead. If you are afraid of what they are "doing to SF" then go play the classics. I must say, I'm liking the look of this. Guys, give it a chance. It's a WIP so I'm sure Capcom will alter it here and there over the course of it's development.

Graphics-wise, I don't have a problem with the look. I'm sure if you'd been training for years, you'd look pretty beefed up too. Retro will always be retro, but I doubt Capcom would stick to 2D as they haven't utilised the power of current-gen in a fighting game yet. Still, SF2 HD will be out soon, so get your 2D SF fix from that.

Akuma is in SF2 (Turbo X version) as hidden. As for the character, Ryu looks more like a Japanese than ever. I frankly did not like Alpha version art. Those who have complained that the art is too Usans haven't seen "Fist of North Star" or even Ghost In a Shell.
