  • wow i love the stick twirling but come on this wont stand a chance in real battle like against shastravidya

  • LOLZ, if these guys try these moves on me, they'll just get a 9 mm. bullet to the face.

  • @chowdaboy7501 I thought you Muslims were all about peace? hahahahahhahaha

  • Brilliant fighting techniques, Sikhs truly are martial. We Tamils/Malayalees also have our own cultural art of war known as Kalaripayattu...scope that shit out.

  • @HinduTamilSouljah It's not a fighting technique, it's an art. This art saved India and created a religion to protect and serve the innocent.

  • @pktrickz1 This art saved India? No offense dude, but I find that greatly exaggerated. That's like saying Kung-Fu is the backbone of China's survival....

  • @HinduTamilSouljah It's the only thing that stopped the Mughal Army from taking over India.

  • @pktrickz1 How is that possible? Especially when the Marathas were also huge in ending Mughal tyranny (who never practiced this art) as well as the influx of the British colonial powers? Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't all Sikhs doing....

  • @HinduTamilSouljah It was mostly, and the when the British came the Maharaja of Punjab was their greatest challenge.

  • @pktrickz1 Maybe in the Northern regions and Afghan/Pakistan bro, but Marathas were the ones liberating the central and south.

Sikh empire was a huge challenge though, but it took longer for them to conquer the rest of India cause of both Marathas ,and Tipu Sultan and the Nayak kingdoms in the south...but no doubt, Sikhs did wonderfully for themselves.

  • gay fighting.

  • /watch?v=goBU_OOgaHI

  • gatka is a sports form of shastar vidya , am i correct?

  • Most countries have their traditional martial arts, look at the recent come back of rapier and broadsword arts from Europe. This is another example of real world historic martial arts coming back. Not all martial arts are from strictly China and Japan folks. I'd love to be able to learn and train with these people.

  • Raj Karega Khalsa.

  • NIHANG SINGHS AKAAAAAALLLUH DAMDAMI TAKASAL AKAAAAAAAAAAAALUHHHH

  • Well heres an idea haters. Pick up a sword.... and go up against these warriors... I can guarantee they'd take your head off before you have a chance to swing your sword.

  • yes nigga i can skip around like a broad too yo wahahahqhqhahaah all the little girls win wwahahhahahaaha

  • I think I may know why invading armies not got closer than 10m of each warrior. They were too busy laughing their asses off at the. The Sikhs then used the opportunity to attack. Brilliant plan.

  • @lenneffxtwo A lot of the most devastating martial arts are unorthodox to watch. Its when you step into a ring with one of them that you really understand how effective they can be.

  • @PsychoTearz Yes, because the opponent will be busy laughing at the Sikh. Still a good plan.

  • @lenneffxtwo this is wat saved india and this is wat saved the british empire so i dont think i need to say more then that wat happend in 1984 was betrayel we saved india so many times and that was how they treated us step into the ring with a real singh like dat and ull be scared shitless so quit sayin bullshit over der internet ight the indian army couldnt get in close range with just man the need a missile to take him out so couldnt come bear hands with just 1 sikh .freakin pussy's

  • music??

  • THE MOST DANGEROUS/FEARLESS WARRIORS ON EARTH...PERIOD!

  • I didn't notice any eye protection in that video there must be a lot of one-eyed sikhs somewhere.

  • @Rovinpiper hahaha that's funny, I don't know where they are hidden because I haven't seen any ;)

  • @Rovinpiper ,,there are not many sikhs wid 1eye but yes we make people to loose their eye who talk against us........RAJ KAREGA KHALSA.....PANTH KI FATEH...

  • @Rovinpiper ,,,,,,so dont mess wid us n protect ur eye from us.....beware of sikhs....

  • HEATED.

  • i am a proud sikh and i always will b it has the most amazing history in the world.... sikh religion is known to have the most sacrifices for the country baba deep singh a great warrior that fought at the age of 80 years old with a sword tht was 20pounds heavy got his head cut off and picked it up and still fought to save the innocent people dying for the country tht is the power of sikhs

  • @619batistafu Baba Deep Singh created buddha dal... this is gatka not true sikhi shastar vidya all these guys coulda been killed more than 10 times with the stick twirling moves they do

  • Saccha Sikh......... One of the most elite and god fearing community...........

  • that man at 4:04 has balls of steel. imagine if that thing were to hit you by mistake?

    that is skill.

  • Why do they alway put that gay ass music in the background, damn Canadian punjabis

  • @gilltgoldie the music isn't that bad lol makes it look more dangerous than it already is :P:P lol what do the fact that their canadian have to do with it

  • 84 changed everything

  • the ultimate fighters...!

    hats off..

  • Why do they practice Gatka instead of shaster vidya?

  • @assassin0810 there is not much of a difference

  • @azerfal23 Are you sure? Its just that i know that when the british took control over Panjab they banned Sikhs from practicing Shaster Videya because it was so brutal, and from what ive read, thats when Gatka was formed and the british allowed the Sikhs to practice that because it wasnt as brutal......... thats why ive always wondered why the Sikhs never went back to Shaster Videya after the british left?

  • 10:48 sorry****

  • the guy at 10:47 is the best of all ...

  • @ a004 and @ DjBobbyLosAngeles

  • kushiya de jakare gajave guru kalgy thar de manu pave nadro nadar nihal ho jave Sat SRI AKAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is a great video. It really promotes gatka in an exciting way. Some of the technique is really beautiful, and one can only imagine what it looked like when such was actually being used in real battles against Muslim warriors back in the 17th and 18th centuries.

  • Sote naal kutt peni tenu ag!

    Kutt peni...Kutt...aaja!

  • question: What is the dancing they do in the beginning. Please explain.

  • @0311forever with pleasure, it is not a dance actualy, it is called pentra, and is done at the beginning of gatka to pay respect to the shastars, it is a way of showing that one is ready and able to handle the shastars. it incorporates many moves that are used in gatka....if you have any other questions please let me know and i will do my best to answer them for you.....WGJKK, WGJKF

  • @gorasikh5340 Thanks man, I thought that's what they were doing, this is cool.

  • guys it wasnt event gatka it was "Shastar Vidiya" Gatka is a watered down version of Shastar Vidiya... When the British Went to India it had been watered down..

  • guys it wasnt event gatka it was "Shastar Vidiya" Gatka is a watered down version of Shastar Vidiya... When the British Went to India it had been watered down..

  • remember gatka was used to defend... not to take over land or rule people

  • 10:28... :O

  • fateh pave nihal ho jave kalgidhar nu manu pave jo bole so nihall la........................

    SAT SRI AKALL

  • @604930abc

    you sed it rong!

  • @604930abc

    it is called an arah

  • its called panthra before u touch a weapon (shastar)

i know it (still doing it in this akara(club))

  • Comment removed

  • sickkkkkeessttt video ever!

  • im a sikh, but i dont exactly know what the purpose of the "dancing" like motions are in the beginning. Can anybody tell me what the purpose is

  • Its not dancing..its called "salami" which means to salute.

it is done before u can touch or use the weapons!!!!

Since weapons or "shastra" hold an equivalent position as our gurus, so its a method of paying them respect

  • @pawan8k

dude we no were sikhs, we learn gatka and we use it against h8rs!

  • wjkkwjkf plz keep these wikid gatka vids comin in to show every1 how great sikhi is not only gatka vids bt keertan ect.. that clip really inspired me very much, jus shows little tings like that can bring u a step closer! wjkkwjkf

  • It's funny how it is only the Sikhs who practice Martial Arts with all their weapons as they had before. If you give a Muslim a sword, he would not last a Minute against a Sikh. All Muslims can do with a Sword is Chop someones head, finger, arm, hand or leg, for Not Following Islam or for Committing a Crime.

The only Army of God is the Khalsa. They fought and will keep fighting for others to live.

I am proud my forefathers silenced the Invaders in the end.

    *****WGJKKWGJKF*****

  • our forefathers didn't direspect any of our opponents, don't forget in sikhi everyone is our brother and everyone is our sister, disregarded what religion, race or background they come from. There is only one god, he is everyones father, muslims call him allah and sikhs call him waheguru.

  • @alphamale348 muslim concept of God and sikh concept of God are different. you and them do not share the same God. One God can mean one God in a semitic sense or one God pantheistic. Sikhs believe in merging with their God. Saying that in a muslim country will have you killed.

  • @alphamale348 Don't Sirdaars have more than one word for God? For example, I am fairly confident I have seen them also use "Rabee," which is also used in Islam (and even among Arabic speaking Christians, since it is the Arabic word for "my LORD").

    *

Whatever the case, while I mean no disrespect, I agree with xxBlackxRebelxx that the Sikhi concept of God is contrary to the orthodox Islamic conception of God (saying that a man -e.g. Guru Nanak- was God in the flesh would be "shirk" in Islam).

  • I have posted some inspirational Videos on Bhai Taru Singh Ji by Bhai Pinderpal singh .. Just wanted to share watever information we have on sikhi ..

  • hindu n sikh still fight?

  • @clevernin26 no............

  • I am what I am (sikh) because of this martial art that saved our people many years ago. Otherwise my name today would have been Mohammad or something like that... BIG RESPECT TO THE AKALIS

  • ur name wud hav been "mohammed"or summit like that" lolllll

  • @attimafia You should study martial arts (if you don't already) and keep the tradition alive!

  • this is why im proud to be a sikh..

  • Charki @ 9:48. Cool!

  • sikhs are known as india's warriors. for years the used these techniques to win battles. fought off thousands of afghan warriors. i assure you this works.

4 sikh gatka warriors were once posted at the 4 doors of the golden temple to prevent intruding indian army. the army admitted to not being able to get within 10m of each warrior.

  • this is a fact 29 sikhs for indian army vs a thousand tamil rebels guess who won sikhs. sikhs in indian army vs chineese indians won. hindu converted sikhs 20000 vs 129000 mughals we won most of battles but marathas won

  • whta u mean "hindu converted sikhs"

  • @ Khalsasafauj47

"Hindu Converted Sikhs" I think by that he meant that in a lot of Hindu families during the Mughal Era it was a common practice for the first born son to convert to Sikhi to join the Khalsa and fight against the Mughals.

  • Sikhi started from one man, and from there were hindu and muslim followers, today we fight each other over our differences.

  • @Youidiotdude lol thousand tamil rebels? There was hardly half of that number among all Tamil Tigers in Eelam back in those days...thats hella exaggerated bullshit homie.

  • @a004 i love Sikh people. But when u leave a comment like is it that non Sikhs in India are not warriors

  • @DjBobbyLosAngeles

some religions are more engaged in the battles than others.

some religions, ie umm budhism, believe violence is not the way, and thats fine. its their right to believe so, and us as sikhs respect all religions and ones choice to religion.

but sikhs believe "When all other means have failed, it is righteous to draw the sword" (Guru Gobind Singh Ji, our 10th guru).

  • @a004 your comment was Sikhs are known as India's warriors....you know what I mean then.....

  • @DjBobbyLosAngeles

    continued:

we believe in force, if necessary, to protect the rights and justices of the people against those who's minds have become too clouded by greed.

so no, non-sikhs are not warriors, muslims have a long history of war in their religion. but the sikh martial arts have proven themselves to be very effective, one may argue the most effective, of the martial arts of that region.

thats what i meant to say.

  • @a004 Non Sikhs are not warriors?......man are you some kind of dumb fuck?......

  • @DjBobbyLosAngeles

    so no, non-sikhs are warriors**

  • @a004 so they are...or there not then ....

  • @DjBobbyLosAngeles

Sikhs are known as india's warriors because of the huge role they've played in the wars against invading muslims and our huge role in fighting for india's independence in the world wars, inlcuding the historic Battle of Saragarhi, which was awarded one of the eight stories of collective bravery in world history by UNESCO.

obviously sikhs are not the only warriors in india, but their contributions are the most noticeable of any group in india.

  • @a004 ok so....now youve gone from Indias warriors.....to the most noticeable.......u know people like u are so annoying to me....i am not against Sikhs....but some of u grow up being Taught that Sikhs are brave, Sikhs fought here, Sikhs fought there, Sikhs protected the Hindus, which is all true, but then you dont learn about the other people in India....its like you know more about Sikh history and history in Punjab but not as much of non Sikhs and out side of the Punjab then here then here

  • @DjBobbyLosAngeles

sikhs were the most noticeable warriors for INDIA in the world wars. at less than 2% of the population, 72% of those who died fighting for india's independence were sikh. all credit goes to battles that were fought and won for justice in india that does not involve the sikhs. but there is no doubt sikhs contributed the most to protecting indian's from the mughals and in india's fight for independence.

sikhs are simply known as india's warriors, its hard to argue otherwise.

  • @a004 the most to protect against the Mughals?.....what do you have some stats from those days then?.........ever heard of Rajputs?....they fought alot to.......

listen i dont have a problem with what ur saying and giving u respect....but sometimes people like u come off as saying Sikhs are the strongest and the best.....it just doesnt make sense to me......alot of people India fight...and alot of them die....the examples you gave might be true, but India's history doesnt start or end there

  • Comment removed

  • @DjBobbyLosAngeles listen mate it even took alot to british to rule on punjab, they ruled on india 4 more than 200 yrs and on punjab thy ruled 4 100yrs.i do respect all the warriors i know most of 'um like shiva ji, queen of jhanci and othrs. evn india got freedom cz of punjabies!! if you think ghandi bought freedom 4 you than yu re a big fool.

we never got that respect we desreved and we wont get it in future i think. our own ppl whom we(sikhs) been protecting killed our brothers sisters...

  • @immortalbhambra you know one of the reasons people like you say and think this way is becase your not educated....your taught in such a way that you belive that only Sikhs are the warriors only Sikhs do the fighting, or maybe you think Sikhs are most of the warriors and Sikhs do most of the fighting...its really sad...and stupid....im not disresspecting Sikhs...im disrepsecing the way you think and how your coming off......Its like you think Sikhs are this sepearte race of people or somethng

  • Yes, if these techniques did not work, Sikhs would not be here today to show them off

  • @realshiznit lol they dont though this isnt shastar vidya

  • most of our greatest warrior can take up to 300 bullets. 1. because we are determined to fight for what we believe is right. 2. the enemies are not smart enough to hit us in the forehead. :) like that will stop us.

  • mere bapu da khalsa bhurahhhhhhhhhhh

  • Kudos from a Christian friend in Texas, Y'all are awesome. I'm glad I don't have one of y'all for an enemy.

  • yeah, but we're not that easy to make enemies. If you talk to us you'll love us, well the ones that are sikh anyway, some are gonna mistreat you.

  • I love your people and culture, all of the Sikhs I know are very kind, I just wish we had a school where I live.
