Excellent. This B-side and album track from 1969 is still one of JK's best tunes and one of my favourites. Now all we need is the matching A-side "Denver". I've got the original B&W picture sleeve issue featuring a young unbearded JK standing by his guitar.
This man is a master of the understatement. In the pop and rock world he is the musical equivent of a Johan Sabastian Bach, in that his natural talent for melody making has no natural boundries and transcends anything that has gone before. And like J.S. his true musical worth will only probably be truly realised when he is no more.
Jonathan Kelly sings this song wonderfully well. It is an unblemished performance of one of his best songs he has ever written
. It has even escaped the attention of some of his record buying public!
