I've always been a fan of Gran Turismo. In 2002 I got a PS2 and my first video game was Gran Turismo 3. I'll always love Gran Turismo. So much that I played it for 5 hours straight today, infect.

I love GT5 seriously I do, but what pisses me off is the anti-aliasing in this game is just outright horrible (I play PC games as well so it's easy for me to notice these problems) and I don't blame PD but I do blame SONY for being complete idiots and not putting enough RAM and graphics memory in the system, if only for that small upgrade PD would of had so much more breathing room for correcting that problem.

No. It's GT5's fault for not being made within the limitations of the system it was built for, especially with it being a PS3 exclusive. They could have made the PS.3 even more powerful (and more expensive), and something like anti-aliasing could have still been overlooked any ways.

Nice review, watched all 5. I had PS3 with prologue but sold it with disappointment and got an X Box and Forza 3. It was better than that prologue rip off but I am a GT fan since GT 2. My favorite aspect of the GT series is the "Real World Cars", the old units that you can actually own which brings me to my main gripe: I miss the vehicle background and history that GT 2 had, it was like a magazine on classic cars. No other game has matched it. If GT 5 did, it would be time to move back.

Those seasonal events are what sold me on the game. They alowed u to get tons more money then the SP races and really helped me find my favorite cars in the game!

@Sj2yzZ Do not doubt it. It is an amazing driving simulator. Remember to take it as is, a driving simulator, and a damn good one. It is the best driving simulator in console, comes extremely close to PC Driving simulators. In a nut shell, yes its worth it.

very nice review,u need a review this long with a game as long awaited and full-some as this. took the plunge and bought a t500rs with wheel stand pro, makes the game awesome very pleased i was playing until 2 and 3 in the morning. Dirt 3 works very well also. the wheel is not cheap first wheel ive bought but its a joy to use,rock solid, uber smooth & detailed.

i just watched your reviews for every gran turismo so far, like you i also love the gt series gran turismo 3 being my favourite shortly followed by the new GT5 :) i was slightly dissapointed by the premium/standard split in the cars however im sure polyphony will be working on downloadable content. You go online hoping people will race clean, they don't, so you ask the game creators to ban them or something, and most often the people who MAKE the game tell you "Just have private lobbies with your friends." just wish the added more customization especially on the standard cars. Shoulda been like 5 racing modifications that can be mixed and match like in GT2 they had just either 1 or 2. More wings, and tires and more a mixture of cars i know it has just over 1000 but i talking about ones that are not variants. Also just a bit better damage lol. I think they a planning something like an expansion pack when forza 4 comes out
