I LOVE THIS! When I do my twist they get old so quick, what method do you use to wrap your twist up at night? I am going to do them again with the glycerin mix.
OMG I literally cracked the fuck up at @TouchedByHem response to @LilacStar82. Nothing against Gabby, but seeing that she looks NOTHING like her...I can come to the conclusion that somebody's just a jealous bitch (sorry to be crass) lol. I mean, why else would you make a comparison that off the wall?!
Thank you thank you thank you... You helped me figure out how to stop the buckle in the front. Your twist are beautiful. I am going to do mine this week sometime and let you know how it worked..
when you do your twists like this do you deal with a horribly itchy scalp? because i do and its to the point where i am forced to wash my hair and then my twists look puffy and just not neat anymore...how do you deal with this??
yes! i have the exact same texture as you, so i totally know what you go thru twisting your hair. thank you so much for the tip of braiding before twisting. so simple, but i never thought to do that. can't wait to try it when my hair grows a little longer. thanks!
@chinablackgrl Hello you have beautiful and your talented styling it. My hair is the same texture as yours but very short. How did you learn how to cornrow and do double strand twist?
How do you get it look like you have hair added? When i do my twist it always just look like twist for a basic twist out. But your twist actually look like kinky twist. Now matter how many time i look at the video i keep missin somethin . But ur twist came out lovely
thank you for this video. your hair texture appears to be like mine and i was so close to almost perming it. by watching this video i decided to hold out again. thanks,
I loved ur video! Im always so confused about what to do with my natural hair. I usually just braid it to the back and slap a sew in on it. I love my weaves but I want to embrace my natural hair so im definitely gonna try this out
I loved ur video! Im alwasy so confused about what to do with my natural hair. I usually just braid it to the back and slap a sew in on it. I love my weaves but I want to embrace my natural hair so im definitely gonna try this out
@TouchedByHem lol it's obvious you were using your natural hair! that question shouldn't have been asked smh...anyways great tutorial and beautfiul hair...subscribing!♥
I was thinking that "these were the best twists that I've ever seen", so I subscribed. I came down to actually comment those words and see that someone else type the same exact thing...irony!!! Very beautiful twists. I'm going to do my next twist like this. Thanks for the video.
Thanks so much for this tutorial. I did mines last night and it took me 7 hrs and my hair is not no where near as long as yours. I want to know which way you twist your hair.
your hair looks really good! when you wash your twists, do you ever have a problem with matting when you go to remove the twists? i'm so scared to wash my twists b/c i have heard horror stories.
@NaturalSoleil thank you!! i have not experienced issues with matting but i have had tangles. be sure that you moisturize really well if you wash your hair while twisted. that will help.
@MsKandiiNatural i did not!! i saw another video of someone stretching their hair by blowdrying it. i may try it next time. i have a short attention span so, it took me a couple of days. if i did them straight through, it may have taken about 8 hours. (i twist SLOOOOOW) lol
@lynbria usually about 2-3 weeks....but i have to keep them super moisturized or else they will start to loc. they make really great twist outs....and i wear the twist out for another week before washing.
@sagamigal as long as my hair is moisturized, i can just wedge my finger between each twist and unravel them. i need to make a video of the "take down"...thanks for the idea!
oh, and btw, i usually dont have to detangle when i take them down. keeping them twisted prevents tangles, for me.
@mzcoca24 LOL!!!! i dont tie my hair up at night, and i sleep on a satin pillow case. when my hair was shorter, i had the coolio thing going on but then again, i ued to wear a satin bonnet. do you tie your hair up at night??
these are darling..i wish i had the patience to do this to my hair! subcribing right now..im new to youtube..so im still trying other styles! how long have you been natural?
I just subscribed. your hair looks exactly like mine. length and everything! I also braid my roots, but i do this throughout the whole head because i think it cuts down on shrinkage, and the braided roots make a nice wash-and-go once i take down the twists. your twists look beautiful! I would have to go to somebody to get them done that small because i don't have the patience!
@wyolette thanks sis!! i agree, the braids do help with shrinkage. have you ever braided your entire head?? i want to but my hair is so hard to take down when its braided.
@TouchedByHem no I have never braided my entire head from root to end, i like the look of twists better. I'm sure braids would last longer though, but i agree with you on how hard it would be to take down.
@TouchedbyHem Okay, well I really moisturize mine, I thought mine were locing because I was putting to much product on them, I moisturize atleast once to twice a day? I also have to be careful not to borrow hair as I get to th eend of my twist so that may be apart of it to? Thanks for responding.
How long can you keep your hair up in twist before it feels like they are trying to loc? It seems my hair is locing after one week? They just seem harder to take down, they don't just glide out? Your hairlooks great!
@Godsflame1 if i keep them moisturized, i can leave them in for about 3 and a half weeks. this last time, i didnt moisturize well, and had to take them down after 3 weeks because they started to loc.
All your videos are really helpful, I'm thinking of doing twists, what products are on your hair and in the bottle - its cuts out on my laptop at that part.
These twists look really good! I always braided the roots when I put weave in for kinky twists but I've never thought about braiding the roots with my real hair when I do twists. I will definitely try that next time.
Your mini twists look great. I don't know if I have the patience to do them. Can you do a video of how you maintain and wash your hair while in these mini twists?
