Mehn u stupid ignorant people that think just knowing how to speak english makes u smart, fuck u. This man open the mind of his people n his songs r stil doing it today, when will u fools underetand that. White n black r different n white obviously doesnt like black from history. Am going to fight for nigerians, africans, and third world countries just like fela did with his songs
@MsAB99 dont mind that dumb mindset. oyinbo ti poju se! speaking english which isnt my language does not make me smarter ! yoruba is my language speaking that far better than i do now would be a more proper mark for me.. i hate it when nigerians are busy boasting about how they DONT speak their LANGUAGE , fools, totally brainwashed into claiming something that has nothing to do with them, european history is not OUR HISTORY but again we have ALLOWED it to happen .
@DPOWER222 what do you mean by, "he transformed millions"? millions (of people?) transformed into what? yes, he was a talented individual, but i don't get your comment.
@bfree2live What i meant by my comment is that FELA through using music and political discourse was able to voice the frustrations of his fellow Nigerians and Africans with the corrupt and dictatorial regimes that have been bleeding the people of the African continent for genarations. By his courage to voice the truth he transformed millions of people to fight the power structure that has continued to oppress them in a vast amount of ways!!!!!!!!!!!! FELA spoke and sang truth to power! VIVA FELA
@DPOWER222 he is talking about MULTI NATIONALS over THIRTY YRS AGO and look at the situation NOW ... what he foresaw has come to past both at home in nigeria and abroad with the collapse of banks, world recession and the greed of govts .. yes he was a VISIONARY for our times.
It is just very sad that all he sang about was forgotten by us Nigerians..... how did the likes of Obasanjo rule us again, after all FELA said...... ?
@Bjentle8 it happened the US too. their first president warned against the dangers of things like a two party system and look at the corrupt piece of shi* that country became
