He doesnt need to be able to shoot great (even tho he can knock them down) because he is an excellent slasher (Speed, hops, handles, finishing are all better then Lebron.) And he is a better defensive player then Lebron. Dwade can absolutely rip DOWN some offensive boards too. His basketball IQ is also way higher then Lebron too. I would take Dwade on a team anyday over lebron

@CraeIsBoss wade is a better slasher so what? the ultimate goal of slashing is to score or assist, and lebron does both better than wade. yes dwade can rip down some offensive boards but guess who ends up with more rebounds per game? lebron does. the two are closer in defense but lebron is slightly better mainly due to his size/versatility of being able to guard point guards to forwards. youre right about basketball iq though, but that alone wont make wade better as a player

@whoohoo117 I think Dwade has showed that he can score at will with his scoring title, and assist stats don't show everything, because a pass to an assist means alot to a team but It isn't a stat. I could be wrong but Dwade avgs more offensive rebounds then Lebron, I would have to check though. Dwade plays better perimeter defense and that how he needs to gaurd as a SG, he doesn't need to guard a PF. but that being said we've all seen him block centers with his amazing hops.

scoring: "wade can score at will", but lebron avgs more pts with a higher fg%.
rebounding: wade avgs 0.1 more offensive rebs, but lebron avgs 2 more total rebs.
passing: "assist stat doesnt show everything", but just for reference wade6.3 lebron7.0
defense: both play great defense, but lebron can guard pg to pf while wade can only take on backcourt players.
mentality: wade over lebron all day.
its up to u to draw ur own conclusion

@whoohoo117 Wades better at defending period, statistically and on film. He is better at guarding a powerforward than Lebron is, he actually is stronger, watch the two work out lebron's just bigger. And as for the passing part, you have to factor turnovers. Anyone who can average 10 turnovers for three games straight should never be called a great passer.

And it is obvious that he averages more rebounds (he's 5 inches taller than Wade) and assists (he has the ball in his hands more than wade). But if you actually watch the games (not just SC highlights where they seem to focus on lebron no matter what D Wade does) you'll notice that Wade, comes up with blocks and steals at just the right time. Scores at just the right time. And especially last year, when Wades on the court they win.

@juvenal660 wade averages more turnovers despite having the ball less, lebron is simply a better playmaker. he doesnt average more assists because he has the ball more, its because he's a better passer so that the coach decide to let him handle the ball. and i believe ive made it quite clear from the start that lebron is such a stupid little brat who cant play under pressure, wade should definitely have the ball in the clutch. but lebron is still the best by far for first 3 quaters

And I can see where people are coming from saying D Wade is stronger because, (lebron has been playing the post this season, so far he has stepped up his game) In the past D-Wade, depute his size disadvantage, was actually a more effective player (offensively) in the low post. watch a few games instead of reading a stat line.

Why is there even a debate on who should be the closer for Miami? D Wade is the obvious intelligent choice. Lebron is a better passer, rebounder, playmaker, more athletic player. But when its time to get buckets that count D-Wade outshines him and always has.
P.S.

@Jaffsickle the season started and we saw the heat is not that good. Wade is doing worse than last season bc lebron came and do everything and being selfish. Wade got less chance. when he got the ball he wants to do something and that makes wade not being constant and calm. I watched a couple heats games. Lebron never pass when hes on a 3 on 1 stituation because hes a selfish SOB. Heat is not a bad team but not good enough to beat celtics. wade is the leader but lebron got the ball all the time
