As far as going under is concerned sirius radio is the one with its hand out begging for cash recently Its just a matter of time before it burns through that
that was at espn zone. afterwards he sat in tghe booth next to me and my group. As he wa sleaving he started waving to everyoen who was cheering for him and shook one of myfriends hands as he was going out liek he was the mayor or something. That opening night of the NFL season.
he also said Roddick would win that night. Ofcourse with Tennis being his expertise...he was wrong.
I loved the Mike and Maddog show, but I will never listen to Maddog on Sirius! You should never mess with a winning thing and Mike and the maddog was the greatest sports show in New York and in the greatest sports town! HUGE ERROR ON MADDOG FOR LEAVING!!!
can barely hear Maddog never thought i'd say that what a colossal mistake Chris made he went for the money instead of staying with a championship sports show.
if that is the case about Maddog not going for the money then why would he essentially go for a network which is not widely seen that's a step backwards career wise. ok if he was getting tired of old show 19 yrs is a long run. But to leave for less of a audience makes no logical sense. And to be honest they truly were better sports team They provided sports conversation instead of ESPN celeb talk. Too bad for us fans of the old show. As for Maddog any plans to get his new show on reg. television
It really is sad that we have to pay to listen to dog. He was funny for sure. I dont think one should pay for radio-and for water for that matter! Heprobably didnt have to leave wfan, but he wanted a change.
It wont be the same without him. I can hack not listening to Stern, because i felt he ran his course on 'free' radio. With Dog, i felt 'Mike and the maddog had many shows left in them. It's starting to set in now, but it still seems like a bad dream.
Yeah you're right. That'd be like paying for cable tv. That's silly. I get plenty from my local stations that come in thanks to my rabbit ears on top of my 1978 Zenith.
what a dolt.

Russo is the biggest dolt on the radio. Francesa is an egomaniacal jerk but he's a thorough professional. Russo is a clown. Good riddance.

Russo is an idiot
Good decision leaving a successful station and jumping onto a sinking ship
He doesnt have the sports knowledge to maintain a nationally broadcasted show
Francesa carried him all those years

As he explained in a recent interview, people don't factor in the YES money he used to make when he worked w/Mike at the FAN.
So, he actually barely makes more now than he was in the past.
