I almost always suggest renting a game unless it's incredibly good or you can get a lot more play time out of it with Multiplayer.

If you've got the money and plan to play the multiplayer, then buy it. If not, rent it.

i don't know. I loved Red Faction and thought number 2 was somewhat of a disappointment.

Now the game's switched to a third person shooter than first. *sigh*. Guess the franchise kinda went downhill.

Nah dude this game is better than it looks. Once you play it you understand that it is pretty well done. The controls are good, the destruction is great, the story is passable, good weapons, great graphics overall and the feel is pretty awesome all around. All in all, it is a good buy. The series hasn't gone down hill and if you look up some reviews you'll see that this game has been pretty well received.

But the game IS good and is worth at least 50 bucks in my opinion. The only 2 games I've played lately that were actually worth 60 bucks were CoD4 and Fallout 3.
