  • Simply Awesome.

  • this vs catia?

  • so awesome

  • Amazing what you can do with some scaled 2d drawings imported onto a couple of drawing planes, and the use of a few surface sweep tools in solid works.

I Am currently a Student studying a degree in computer aided design the University of Central Lancashire UK.

just completed my second year and about to progress to my final year, and finding solid works great for expressing my ingenuity.

i was wondering how you get your scaled .bmp drawings?

  • and what happened to the interiors???

ha ha...just kidding, nice work man.

  • attention to detail was fucking amazing

  • W O W

  • Great work in details!

  • If I could work that fast, I'd be in big demand right now earning myself mega bucks haha

  • @AV3NG3R00 haha dude, thats a speed up video

  • @AV3NG3R00 hm.Think about playing the video fast so he dont needs to be fast.

  • this shit is too fast lol , this aint a tutorial anymore

  • im 14 and i just made a alloy rim and back box in 10 minits but i lernt it at collage

  • Thanks! information complete! 5 min! amazing!

  • funny how he built his own bolts lol. could of pulled a lot of this stuff from a catalog. I personally would of started from a block and sculpted it by trimming. kinda old school though.

  • @supreemmdb2 surface modeling is the best way to do stuff like this......

  • @supreemmdb2 I guess that's how all car designer starts to model un-existing design, idk just assumption. but yea i do it that way

  • ????

    how is this a tutorial?

  • i just need the modell, where can i download it?

  • Awsome!!! :)

  • incredible!

  • Amazing!

    Where can i buy it?

  • BEST 5 MINUTES OF MY LIFE

  • Same, gimme full version lol

  • @Kedo93 realy ? find girlfriend :D

  • That was really cool! I don't know where I would even begin to start doing that.

In the future it may be easier to find a 3d scanner and just scan it into SW.

  • "In the future" is already here.. and has been a for a long time. We use laser scanners for MEP (Mechanical/electrical/plumbing) for doing as-build drawings. the only issue with it now is that its hard to modify, which is one of the big needs thats lost in that proccess. Scanners actually take some time to set up also since you have to set up data points for scanning and can be a hassle. still a cool feature for cars and parts and such.

  • please answer this ima beginner at 3ds max and its not working out at ALL could you tell me how u learned all that

  • This isn't 3DS Max, so you're asking in the wrong place. SolidWorks is better for normal modeling anyway.

  • hey i was wondering how u imported the pictures of the ortho views of the R8 because when i import pictures each time i select a different plane the picture follow the view. excellent surfacing btw!!! all sketches fully defined!

  • Start a sketch on a plane or surface, then go to Tools > sketch tools > sketch picture

  • wow. that's a lot of work.

  • it's only advertisement :(

  • AWESOME, this model in solidworks is a piece of art. I haven't seen something like that on the internet neither in CATIA or NX,

Esta de poca madre compa !!!!

  • de puta madre sera. si, muy bueno

    AWESOME!!

  • damn :o
