@WizeDemon It's called configure the controls or buy a $10 mouse. If you don't use a mouse, then get one and model properly. The controls are what you set them to. Nobody can tell you them.
O.K. I split the screen in two and then I tried to add the pictures I want to use, but I can't see them. I use a Windows 7 and a Version 2.5x blender. What am I doing wrong?! Do you have a tip or two?
oh fuck, get a zbrush and make a lowpoly zspheres as i do get it do blender, finish modeling, back to zbrush and add high detailed details on your blendermade details, leave your lowpoly character without changes, just subdivide it 5-6-7 times sculpt and normal map and stff the go to low poly, export to blender, you have all details, including the ones you extruded, in exaxt same polycount you brought it in from blender. Works for me everytime, and save me 500 hours of modeling, man
@newfireclow if you want to change to the exact views (like front, top, right, etc), you want to be in orthographic mode(toggle is numpad 5), and then numpad 7, 1, and 3 are for top, front, and right respectively.
@newfireclow Alt+shift - scroll to rotate on the x-axis. Shift - scroll to pan on x-axis. Ctrl - scroll to pan on y-axis. Ctrl+alt - scroll to rotate on the z-axis.
@newfireclow i guess u are asking how to turn your 3D view? Hold your middle mouse button on your 3d view port and move the mouse. Or use Numpad 1 for front view, Numpad 3 for side view and Numpad 7 for topview.
@CodedInEden While this may be true it is a series of tutorials. If you visit my page and watch all of the tutorials prior to this one you will learn the keys and short cuts that I use in this tutorial. :)
I really want to do this tutorial, but I can't unless I can get the picture, I did request to be friends on myspace so please except or you can send me the pictures at keisha2sweet00@yahoo.com
yes I'm not able to get the picture for this, and I've also forgotten my myspace name and password, so i cant log in to add you, so I was wondering if you can send me the pic instead
this is great! thanks so much but how do you get that annoying dark grey box to go away at the very beginning? i didnt see it in your vid, but i have one when it starts up. >.> it wont GO AWAY
@DigimonProjectInc you talking about the default box? I guess you already figured it out since this past was 2mos ago...;p but anyway just press the letter (x) button on the keyboard and then click the erase selected object. That should do it ^__^
@DigimonProjectInc you mean the default cube? it's an object, like all the other objects, so you can easily select it (do that in object mode, not in edit mode) and delete it (with del button)
ok im new to blender and I'm having trouble with geting the backround image on there. I go to veiw and select an image but it wont show up. Do you know how to fix that kind of problem.
@pikawolfy@Labyrnthdom You probably don't have the image set as a image that is supported by Blender. Try opening the image in a photo editing software and "Save As" a JPEG
@taconene ive got the same problem but i get the pic the first time but when i midle click my mouse it disapers and when i try to do it again it wont show?
I realize that this video is done by someone fairly new to blender. Other people would probably used s sphere for that and then extruded from there. But, at least your trying to show others what to do. But it is not helpful enough for beginners.. I would be one to know, im a beginner! Need to explain keys you are using a bit better and slow down a bit. I realize youtube only allows short videos, but you have plenty of time to make a series and not cram so much into 1 video.
@Labyrnthdom You probably don't have the image set as a image that is supported by Blender. Try opening the image in a photo editing software and "Save As" a JPEG
Ah ok. It sounds like you are only grabbing one point. You need to ensure that your selecting m ore than one point. To select an edge loop press "Alt + Shift" Then select a line on the loop you want to select. Or you could just hold shift and press all of the lines you want to move. To move a face it's the same way. Hold down shift key and select all of the verticies or lines you would like to move! If this doesn't help let me know.
can you please send me the pics for this. I don't have myspace and can't find them in you profile.
