Still best visuals today! Nothing looks as good as this very early realtime Wii U stuff. If this could be made for real games, this looks much better and more real, than Crysis or BF3.

this is really cool the water on the rocks and the snowflakes actually landing on the bird looks so good and i always wondered why leaves would always be falling from trees in other games some games but the trees always have just as much leaves as last week lol not anymore. i hope this place gets used for the next Legend of Zelda

If this is what the Wii U can really do then I wouldn't mind if the Wii U was significantly less powerful than the next Xbox or Playstation, I'm totally satisfied with it( Unless the Wii U misses out on games because of its power..). In fact I was already satisfied by how good games looked like on the 360 and PS3 this generation.

wile this proves that nintendo is on the right track for next gen graphics, and clearly still in the game for new typs of playing. i then look on to 3d game play, hard core games, mutere tittles, and maybe inproving that controllers screen to multitouch, with digitizer layer, and oled.

your right its less accurate and with nintendo they see it as you always have 1 hand on the dedicated circle pad 4 ultimate control over your avatar its not in need of multi touch as with iphone u need it 4 a thumb stick ect 4 controlling your avatar dedicated gaming consoles only need single touch as you will obly ever have 1 hand free

them graphics are made possible by the sheer power of that cpu i think watson tech equals tons of EDRAM this is displaying a taste of that i think wow these graphics far far surpass any ps3/pc game in my eyes.

I've been playing on the pc with this level of graphics for years now...I currently use a 6990. needless to say, all my pc games are all maxed out.

@Tambrik this was done with a very, very, VERY early dev kit, when wiiu comes out 100% finished, it's graphics will look ffffaaaarrrrr better than this or the Zelda HD demo...

It's funny, because I look at this and thing "Wow, these graphics are beautiful. Better than what I've seen on my PS3." And then I realise this is only been done with an early dev kit. And that it's not even pre rendered, but rendered live.

'IF' these are indeed real-time gameplay graphics then we have arrived at the next generation of gaming. The only thing that looked kinda strange was the water. It looked like 'gelatin' like, but that's not a big issue. Easily fixed.

Just the thought of a Zelda game with these types of graphics is enough to make your heart stop. Just sit there and think about that for a moment. These graphics, Legend Of Zelda.

Nintendo could win the next console war with THAT game alone. :0)

@lordrath2000 : Nintendo has never lacked in any of those areas so I didn't feel the need to address them. The one albatross around Nintendo's neck this generation has been graphics. My point was that now with a system capable of producing the best graphics out there, there is nothing to stop Nintendo.

To get something like that running in 1920x1080 (1080P) and at 60fps (which you can easily tell here), you'd need a i5-2500k 3.33Ghz and a AMD 5850 or nVidia GTX460. The console specification doesn't need to be as high as the PC would require; game consoles allow developers to "hit the metal".

The Wii-U is probably 3x the power when factoring only 1080P@60fps locked game scenarios over the PS3 and Xbox360.

You'd need at least 2x just for 1080P@30fps locked.

4xMSAA for the Wii-U GPU is likely.

@kris10ish The Xbox renders most games @sub-HD levels (we're talking about 576p, here--nowhere near 1080p) and upscales them to 720p or 1080p, and struggles to maintain adequate AA. The developers use different techniques in order to "blur" the edges, but most of it is not true AA because AA requires more power than you'd think. It's a very costly feature.

@Ryoku926 I believe the xbox does fully support 720p otherwise advertising it as an HD console would be false advertising (though it wouldn't surprise me) but it will upscale to 1080p. PS3 is the same as far as im aware. The only ps3 games iv'e seen in native 1080p are the PSN store downloadables that are usually 2D sidescrollers or something along that lines.
