  • When hitting the tire its better to alternate hands. Swing once with left and once with right and keep alternating. If you do twenty with the right and then go to do twenty with the left you will be tired and not put as much into it as you did on the ones with the right hand. I love that workout. I flip the tire as much as i can and then beat its ass with the sledge. It will bust your ass

  • УХАА

  • yeeeh used to do this with my old boss in his old gym shit is intense, try crouching both ur legs at the same time for more of a over all core workout, i couldnt walk for a few days

  • Don't forget about the forearms either. Bruce Lee said if both fighters are equal, the man strongest from the fingertips to the elbow will win the fight. This is how you get heavy hands (and from turning a wrench). I wish I had a truck tire...

  • Mount that tire securely so that the center is about shoulder height, then swing right handed (like a baseball bat and put your hip into it) explosively for 10-15 seconds, switch to left handed swing and blitz for 10-15 seconds, then switch back and forth quickly until 3 minutes is up. Take 1 minute rest and repeat this cycle 3-6 times for amateurs, 10 for pros. Then work the heavy bag for 3 minutes (without the hammer). This will build explosive trunk rotation power for all power punches.

  • He is training to throw very slow strikes?

  • how does this help and why should i do it? go!

  • @Bodybuddha thats good for the left cross

  • @PhillyPugilist helps the muscles in your back and hips then?

  • @Bodybuddha yes and shoulders as well. Its a similar motion to a right/left cross so it helps with that punch.

  • @Bodybuddha Great cardio and strength conditioning. We do this to, it's insane after awhile.

  • how many pounds is the hammer?

  • @elijahboytellem...your right maybe he should switch after every like 2 hits...that way both shoulders would probably ware out around the same time..
