When hitting the tire its better to alternate hands. Swing once with left and once with right and keep alternating. If you do twenty with the right and then go to do twenty with the left you will be tired and not put as much into it as you did on the ones with the right hand. I love that workout. I flip the tire as much as i can and then beat its ass with the sledge. It will bust your ass

Take 1 minute rest and repeat this cycle 3-6 times for amateurs, 10 for pros. Then work the heavy bag for 3 minutes (without the hammer). This will build explosive trunk rotation power for all power punches.
