I think your your room is quite interesting. You have those things hanging from the ceiling. They are probably coverings for the heating ducts. You can easily put shelf brackets on those and put shelves up there. That would be so cute. You could put stuffed animals on the shelves or books or anything you want. You might need a step ladder to reach the shelves.

And there are lots of really cute under storage containers for really cheap on ebay. Ebay is really safe if you use pay pal.
