Very fast for the orchestra. When I performed this, we took the tempo down by a lot. You have no idea how emotional it is when the line "crucifixus" comes around and after for the resolution. One of the most remarkable pieces I remember playing though.
Lovely singing, but given how completely the 18-year-old Schubert lifted this piece from the Prisoners' Chorus of Fidelio, I prefer a more andante tempo, like the source material.
One of the best credo I have ever known. The original score runs around 6 minutes. This one lasts only 3:47, so somewhere gets cut short. However, I like the video, well done.
its short because they are singing it SO fast. I sang this last summer on a 7 concert tour with 7 different drectors each time and our performances of the credo ranged from about 2:45 to 7 min
played this and did a pretty good job. However i was in violin and it was Awesome.

We sing this in our chor and we love it to sing....but we have no orchester just the piano...:)

That's just the correct tempo. In the score it's marked "allegro moderato".

I think you are right. No omission, just sing it faster here. However, I like the Credo a little bit serious & solemn.
