  • How desperate and pathetic.

  • Seems Apple is boosting their advertisement, is it because Microsoft. Fixed the stuff they were telling people to complain about. I don't know, maybe it is.

  • These AD's are in fact becoming very retarded.

The truth is that Windows 7 has many new features & a more colorful user interface than Mac does.

Mac OS 10 (referred to as Mac OS X) version 1.0 was released back in JULY 2001! and they eventually upgraded themselves to what can be referred to as version 0.6 in July, 2008.

Very little improvements have been made since.

  • the truth is that macs are more expensive and are less compatible than a PC. You wouldn't be able to transfer all your files, because there would be programs that macs aren't compatible with. This ad is retarded.

  • this ad is running on the youtube main page

    its awesome!

  • I agree. It doesn't matter how much better the Mac is compared to the PC. It's too f-ing expensive !!!

  • To get a PC with the Macs performance you got to put out just as much money as you do for the Mac, or even more. Apple just doesn't have cheaper models.

  • Eh, what?

  • Exactly how it is!

  • not really. I have 4 gigs of ram, dual core, ATI Radeon graphics, for 700 bucks on my HP Pavillion. Apple just uses vertical integration which allows them to up the price because you can't get Mac OS unless you buy a Mac. I really don't give a damn, because I can use the same or similar programs on a PC and save money.

  • You get what you pay for. It's that simple.

  • How about lowering those darn prices?

  • Give me one intelligent reason why Apple should lower their prices. One that doesn't compromise quality or customer satisfaction.

  • Price differences in Sweden compared to the US (prices taken from Apple Store):

    - A MacBook in the US $995, in Sweden $1400.

    - A MacBook Pro in the US $1199, in Sweden $1700. That's 40% extra...

Comparing performance, quality & service to computers of other brands, I just can't motivate spending a lot extra just to get a Mac.

  • Well, I'm swede myself and I've had various PC laptops over the past 6 years or so from HP, Sony (Vaio) and Dell and quite frankly, I'd gladly pay more for a mac with the same specs. Why? Maybe I'm just lucky but I've had no problem whatsoever with my two previous MacBook Pros while I've had a lot problem with all my PC laptops. Obviously they were the reason for me switching to mac.

It's gonna take a lot before I switch back to PC and windows again.

  • You see, the prices in the US store is without taxes and stuff, so the price diffrent is very small in the end. As people sed before, you get what you pay for, my Macbook pro is the best thing i have ever bought.

  • VAT is hardly 40% but rather ~10%. What is this extra "stuff" that makes up the remaining 30% ?

  • Prices in US store the taxes isn't included.

  • That's what I said..

$995 + 10% tax is $1095 which is still considerably less than $1400. So what motives that extra $300?

  • i wish it does. i dont know how much tax we pay here.

  • its like that because the prices on the US applestore is without the VAT.
